OT: Friday Open Posbang (?) Thread: Whatcha Working On?
In case you've already read Brian's comprehensive front pager about receivers individual stats in recent years and are looking for some good, clean fun, here's an off-topic question for those "hard" at work this warm, sunny Friday afternoon:
Watcha working on there in the office (or wherever you are)?
Me, I'm sitting on what is possibly boringest** of boring conference calls about the policies and procedures of escheating unclaimed funds to the state.
(I should be honest: I'm actually reading the blog and watching Battlefield 3 videos on YouTube as the speaker drones on in the background.)
(**new word)
Wishing I had a way of telling my team who they should draft in the 2nd round
Working on edits of a manuscript entitled "Bark Beetle Mortality Increase Energy Imbalance in Eddy Covariance Measurements Due to Canopy Heterogeneity" Yay science on a Friday!
...you work for People magazine?
I was just looking at data for an eddy covariance tower:
Yup. Excited stuff, running an EC tower in Wyoming. What were you doing with the data from the UMBS?
Nothing that's going to result in any publications, that's for sure.
I'm still very curious for the details. Are you a grad student?
because the internet would know who I am with said details. I'm not a grad student though.
Hello there, ecologist. Keep up the good work, I am jealous of your getting to go outside.
- Neurobiology
an excuse to sneak out early. As in, right now.
almost done with work, then I can go home and mow the yard.
Update: the yard has been mowed and I can now commence to having a beer.
I'm off. Working on my NCAA 12 HB's Road to Glory.
I still flamebaited you.
Finding GM part numbers to yoink some competitor's hardware.
I'm working on some Swiss Cake rolls, a can of Coke and waiting to head home to my wife and daughter in 24 minutes!! Have a great weekend all.
you spelled "diabetes" wrong.
You win the Internetz today! Is that why I'm so light headed right now?
I'm planning a master's thesis. It sounds like you might be having more fun than I am.
What is your thesis on? Also, don't you already have a phd stephen?
I'm going to start studying virology now!
Oh, I should also add that my boss has already left for the day, our general cousel requires at least one lawyer to be physically present in all of the offices at all times, so I'm stuck here until the business people go home. Corporate America -- F-ck yeah!
Seriously, do I have to think of everything?
I'm thinking about throwing my office chair out the window and following it out. Problem is that I'm on the 25th floor. Then again, this call is REALLY horrible . . .
How do you stay in all the offices at one time?! I think we should have a talk about multiplicity theories; I'm writing a new book after all!
Ultimate frisbee then a nice relaxing night of NCAA 2012 to relax after a brutal finals week!
And also considering going to the casino for the 2nd time this week.
U of M Emergency Room... saving lives every day of the week.
I can currently still breathe thanks to the UM ER. Keep on truckin'.
You would be like Superman to mgoblog, if only you weren't so low-profile ... which further supports my hypothesis that you might actually be mGoSuperman. Major respects.
Was a lot more active during the haloscan era when I played rugby and danced ballroom for UM. Currently working full-time and going to grad school cuts into my posting habits. Still read everything though, usually on my smart phone at night in bed haha.
You know those UMHS Michigan Difference commercials? And the Hail to the Little Victors commercials? Those really do make you feel like superman sometimes.
Trying to memorize Model Penal Code and Common Law for a Criminal Law exam tomorrow!
Just remember, you cannot set up a machine gun with a trip wire to protect your home if you're not present. No use of deadly force to protect property and not person.
for you to bring the banhammer down so I can post this in the correct context:
Here you go - just sent myself to Bolivian for a few minutes. Has to be better than this conference call. Or, at least, I heard the weather is nice there this time of year.
I know that's crazy right?! I had to disarm all of the traps in my house for the times when I'm not there after reading that. Who would have thought . . .
I'm editing pages upon pages upon pages of HTTV articles, and choosing pics for all of them. If any of you are reallllly bored you can sort through Upchurch photos from last year and name your favorites for a) Current M players, b) 2012 opponents, c) 2011 Seniors.
I have plenty of work to do every day but that doesn't seem to make my job any less boring.
And more Upton.
And an interactive, animated magazine.
April 28th, 2012 at 11:40 AM ^
Is this the most universally slow day in recent memory? I can't find anyone working.
I wore my Mike Martin/Hulk Smash to work to get him drafted tonight, knowing no one would care or be around.
Watching the hot chick make copies while the ugly chick stares at me in disgust.
Pics or it didn't happen.
The ugly chick is HR. I will try for you though.
Wishing I could be working on a nap. But unfortunately I am also stuck in the office on a super slow and boring day.
"Please provide any and all documents containing pornographic stick figure images that you have produced in the past six (6) months."
Sounds like an interesting case you have there.
Good thing I'm not the recipient. I don't have enough Bates stamps for the production. Wait, those requests aren't for me, are they??
Finals week here at the University of Southern Indiana. All of my Office Admin dudties have been completed for the week so I'm wasting the last two hours of the week by watching Man versus Food and trying to decide what I'm having for dinner tonight.
