Did Green play the last 7:10 with 5 fouls?
Did Green fould out at 7:10 and still play the rest of game. Here is the info from the CBS play by play.
First Half: 18:53 Foul on Draymond Green
First Half: 3:33 Foul an Draymond Green. Appears he missed a layup and fouled L Smith and he made 1 of 2.
Second Half: 19:09 Technical Foul on Draymond Green. Also counts as a personal.
Second Half: 10:14 Foul on Draymond Green.
Second Half: 7:10 Foul on Draymond Green.
Thats 5 fouls. I have see two scenarios stated so far. One is that his second foul was not attributed to him (ESPN says it was on Kearney). The second is that the officials did not attribute or count the Technical foul as a personal foul, thus keeping his total at 4.
The announcers said during the telecast that the foul was on Green. Did they make a mistake or was it changed to Kearney later in the game? Either way I don't think MSU should be complaining about the refs.
Who cares? We're B1G Champs.
We won and MSU lost period.
its an interesting point flamer!
wouldn't doubt it,cheaters never win!!!
someone on the Ohio staff needs fired, not Thad but anyone else would work.
They lost, we won. Go Blue
He took a stupid fadeaway when they needed points most, and airballed the potential game-winner. I'll take it.
Ball don't lie.
If that was the case, I'm sure someone would have caught it. Also - I was under the impression that techs don't count as personals. Is that the case?
OK, then I'm probably confusing it with the NBA.
To expand on what MH20 said, in college (and high school and FIBA) a technical foul counts as a personal foul, a team foul, and a technical foul. So Green's technical counted as his second personal foul, his first technical foul, and State's first team foul of the second half.
The NBA is different, there a technical foul is not counted as a personal foul or a team foul, and it result in one free throw, not two. However, the NBA does track technical fouls over the course of the season, and after a certain point (16, I believe) the palyer/coach is suspended for a game.
You would think someone would have caught it, but Colorado got 5 downs only 20 years ago.
Beat Ohio.
has the foul at 3:33 of the first half charged to Kearney. So no Green did not play with 5 fouls.

I remember that play, and the foul was obviously called on Green.
At least they didn't win like Louisiana-Lafayette did when they had 6 players on the court for the game-winning shot
How sad is it that they didn't even use the extra man to their advantage?
The "extra man" looks like the guy that was wide open running through the key just before he drove. That drew the guy playing in the middle of the zone out a couple more steps than he had been playing. Those couple of steps and the slightest bit of attention he gave looks to have been enough of a distraction to allow the drive to be finished.
Draymon Green took two costly technical fouls in games this year. One in a 1 point loss to Illinois, and 1 in a 2 point loss to ohio.
Green cost them the outright Big Ten Championship by himself.
I guess you could look at it that way. But it's also a fact that they would have never won some of the games they won without Green. I'll kindly disagree with that opinion.
Tom Izzo is one of the greatest coaches I have ever seen at working the refs. They blow off other coaches, but seem to always listen to Izzo and treat him with respect, and MSU always seems to "get a call" shortly thereafter.
I think it's funny that Izzo got a total of a half second put back on the clock, giving them a great opportunity for a three, and they still lost. If Green had been savvy enough to lean into Silinger on the last shot, he probably would have gotten a chance to go to the line and shoot three.
of the GREATEST LEADERS IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD AND THE BEST YOUNG MAN EVER TO GRACE THE BASKETBALL COURT WITH HIS EXISTENCE BECASUE OF WHAT A GREAT LEADER AND A COACH ON THE FLOOR AND THE GREASTEST LEADER OF LEADERS AND AN EXTENSION OF HIS COACH AND JUST SUCH AN INCREDIBLE REMAKRKBLE SELFLESS COACHABLE LEADER OF ALL LEADERS" should be able to play with as many fouls as he likes.
Thinking back to his quotes before the game about not going out a loser on Senior Day. He was taking a direct shot at both UM and OSU who lost on Senior Day. Suck it Green!
Anyone happen to catch Sam Webb's "Recruiting Roundup" this morning? Some guy played H to the Izzo over the radio. At first I was like, huh? What does this have to do with anything? Second later it dawned on me and I almost drove into the concrete barrier on 696 laughing.
