A few minor recruiting notes
December 11th, 2011 at 3:13 PM ^
I know we had a TE from st.eds ohio (same as Kalis) named Sam Grant. He is a soft verbal to Boston College at the time.
December 11th, 2011 at 3:17 PM ^
What are the actual words that Wright used in his tweet? My guess is "stormtroopers" and "pilates."
December 11th, 2011 at 3:28 PM ^
guidos and GTL
December 11th, 2011 at 4:38 PM ^
my guess was "n*ggas" and "shit"
December 11th, 2011 at 5:09 PM ^
naggers?
December 11th, 2011 at 5:57 PM ^
South Park reference?
December 11th, 2011 at 10:21 PM ^
Has anyone ever told you that you have a finely-tuned sense of humor?

December 11th, 2011 at 3:18 PM ^
I don't get it. Cal has 3 WRs committed, ND has 3 WR committed, OSU has 4 committed already. Why are these the teams that top WRs are talking about? Auburn's got a couple of 4-stars (although if they need a third, that's a little more understandable) Also - why are teams still going after them? I may be a novice, but it doesn't make a ton of sense to me.
December 11th, 2011 at 3:25 PM ^
I'm not sure about Payton, but Diggs is the kind of talent that you make room for.
December 11th, 2011 at 3:30 PM ^
but what does "make room for" mean? Does it mean take a 4th/5th WR? or does it mean you pull some poor kid's offer?
December 11th, 2011 at 3:46 PM ^
My hope is that you just take the 3/4/5 WR and see where they project once they get to school. For example you might sign an extra WR, but one might turn into an OLB like Cam Gordon or a DB.
I am pretty sure that Michigan and Brady Hoke will not resort to those kinds of tactics. There are shady ways of getting extra kids on campus, just ask the most of the SEC.
December 11th, 2011 at 3:53 PM ^
Lots of otherwise fine student athletes are having issues with their grades, I'm sure it will happen again.
December 11th, 2011 at 3:33 PM ^
1. Seemingly great news to hear about Yuri Wright
2. It looks like WR recruiting will have a very interesting end (IMO depending very much on the OL prospects)
3. Upon seeing a thread about recruiting, not only did I elicit an audible "yes", but I also felt my heart jump. I am really getting pathetic . . . oh well, back to exam studying.
December 11th, 2011 at 3:37 PM ^
Sure he is a 4 star recruit, but he obviously likes OSU better. Even given the fact that he would be a running back in the spread next year (a system he hates) he is still strongly considering Ohio. I don't know about you, but I want a guy that's all in. Dunn clearly is not IMO.
December 11th, 2011 at 3:39 PM ^
You're the only guy...
December 11th, 2011 at 3:45 PM ^
Only one. Want kids that love Michigan, and know its right for them.
December 11th, 2011 at 6:41 PM ^
It's the same reason I wouldn't take a job with this one company out of college. They insisted on interviewing multiple applicants, and I only want to work for someone who is fully committed to employing me.
December 11th, 2011 at 3:43 PM ^
I agree with you. Unless his heart is with Mich, he'd be better off in Ohio.
December 11th, 2011 at 5:22 PM ^
That's not always how it works. A lot of players would like to be somewhere and end up somewhere else because it's a better fit for them. Dunn's heart could be in Ohio but Michigan has grown on him. If he chooses Michigan with a little doubt in his mind and a little love for Ohio, I guarantee that will all fade once he gets to Ann Arbor. The entire point of recrutiing is to change the minds of recruits and sell your school an program.
December 11th, 2011 at 3:45 PM ^
He's an 18 y/o kid making one of the most important decisions in his life thus far. Your right, I don't want him. I mean he's still evaluating all his options and hasn't made a set decision before signing day... pull his offer
December 11th, 2011 at 3:47 PM ^
Maybe you're the only guy who doesn't want him, but yeah it's been brought up by some people on here that Dunn would rather go to OSU than Mich, except for the fact that they run a spread now
December 11th, 2011 at 7:06 PM ^
heard mention that Dunn has already said no to Meyer once when he was being recruited previously by the Gators.
December 11th, 2011 at 3:55 PM ^
Yeah probably. I want Dunn bad, but you can just tell he really wants to be a buckeye even though he knows it doesn't make sense.
December 11th, 2011 at 4:46 PM ^
1) He is a five star recruit to Scout. He's also a bowling ball with legs.
2) How do you feel about Kalis?
3) If a kid commits to Michigan, enrolls and shows up to practice then he is certifiably 'all in.'
I know you probably want folks who are born to come to Michigan, but I'm fine with taking people who are taking their time, consider their options, and making the best decision they can make. If he commits to Michigan, awesome. If he commits to Ohio, I hope he does well and gets playing time... but gets curbstomped by Michigan a la Herron.
December 11th, 2011 at 4:57 PM ^
So which of the recruitsx still on the board are all in for UM? I'd love to get Dunn. He's making an informed decision and could go practically anywhere. I doubt very much he ever imagined that he would come here growing up. It says a lot for our program and the staff that he just might turn down his dream school for us.
December 11th, 2011 at 4:58 PM ^
Wanted To be a wolverine. I think that worked out pretty good for ohio. Jus sayin
December 11th, 2011 at 10:23 PM ^
Spielman was rude enough to Bo that he up and left an in-home visit, is my understanding. Don't think he ever wanted to go to Michigan.
December 11th, 2011 at 3:44 PM ^
So with Anthony Standifer decommiting, doesn't that mean we now have 5 spots available?
December 11th, 2011 at 3:47 PM ^
Yuri Wright seems to have Frank Clark disease, in that he posts all kinds of vulgar things on Twitter.
Cal is reportedly looking at taking up to 6 wide receivers. I'm not saying they'll get Payton, but they have 4 receivers right now and might take 2 more, so they're not out of the running.
December 11th, 2011 at 3:48 PM ^
talked to Frank Clark when he got on campus though
December 11th, 2011 at 4:12 PM ^
I agree, they probably did talk to him. He's still no Devin Gardner w/r/t twitter, but at least he's not dropping the n-word every 10 seconds anymore.
December 11th, 2011 at 4:23 PM ^
Thank You!
Senior highlights always welcomed.
December 11th, 2011 at 4:39 PM ^
He looks like he bulked up alot...
December 11th, 2011 at 5:08 PM ^
Watching that I think he is now the recruit that I'm most excited about. He dominates offensive lineman, he looks like an LSU dlineman. Kids an animal.
December 11th, 2011 at 6:17 PM ^
Sam Montgomery 2.0?
December 12th, 2011 at 1:51 PM ^
I'm way more excited about Ojemudia than I am about Wormley. In terms of work rate and energy, there's no comparison.
December 11th, 2011 at 7:39 PM ^
has him at 215 lbs but the video says 223.
December 11th, 2011 at 7:58 PM ^
They probably don't have updated information on him. I wouldn't be surprised if Ojemudia is up to 230 by the time he hits campus, possibly more.
December 11th, 2011 at 4:56 PM ^
December 11th, 2011 at 8:02 PM ^
Wow, I think our pass rush just got a lot more dangerous.
December 11th, 2011 at 10:29 PM ^
Is the team in all red James Ross' team?
December 11th, 2011 at 4:22 PM ^
we may not get dunn, its ok we shall survive. keep breathing
December 11th, 2011 at 4:24 PM ^
Thanks for the update. That would be a surprise if we landed Payton, although I think Chesson will probably commit before Payton does. That will leave the coaches to make a decision should Payton decide he wants to commit. I see our class being full before signing day. I think we all can agree that when the dust settles Yuri will commit to UofM. Looking forward to the next month.

You guys don't have a true ND medical school. You rely on the IUPUI system for that...and besides, the Indiana University School of Medicine is no University of Michigan. So...
December 11th, 2011 at 4:35 PM ^
A med school.
December 11th, 2011 at 4:36 PM ^
I think our visit put Michigan atop his list because he saw the OSU game and got to meet all the big time alums. Also Michigan has a better Med program
December 11th, 2011 at 5:13 PM ^
Stanford. Already accepted through their admissions dept.
