I think the fact that every major news organization is predicting some sort of BCS bowl game for us should assuage some of our worries as a fanbase.
December 4th, 2011 at 1:40 AM ^
Think we are not a bcs lock?
December 4th, 2011 at 1:46 AM ^
Especially since they are the same people voting.
December 4th, 2011 at 1:40 AM ^
jumping into the top 16. KSU is not a sexy opponent but I will take it.
December 4th, 2011 at 2:02 AM ^
I do prefer K-State to TCU.
December 4th, 2011 at 1:41 AM ^
Wolverines vs. Eco-Kat.
Advantage: Wolverines.
December 4th, 2011 at 1:41 AM ^
I'd take it. I don't think we'd beat KSU in the same way as we'd beat Houston, but I'm not afraid of them.
December 4th, 2011 at 1:46 AM ^
I don't fear a KSU team who's offense is just a running QB and who got curb stomped by the two oklahoma schools
December 4th, 2011 at 1:46 AM ^
That's because they have Bama in the title game. BCSGuru has Ok St in the title game, which I think makes our most likely matchup Fiesta vs Stanford or KSU (probably Stanford)

We're in!!!!!

I don't follow this guy/girl/group, so I'm not sure about the credibility, but here's the link to the twitter profile:
And here's the link to the website:
We're 13 in these rankings.

All these predictions, can't it be Sunday night already? Not the most exciting match-up if we end up facing KSU but beggers can't be choosers.
December 4th, 2011 at 1:50 AM ^
I'd absolutely take it. At worst, it's a BCS win. Michigan, in reality, should destroy Kansas State. I like our chances..
December 4th, 2011 at 1:51 AM ^
couple of Kansas State games this year, I would feel pretty confident with that matchup. Have not been impressed with K-State at all from what I have seen. Klein is pretty good running the ball, but their skill guys aren't that good, their passing game is poor and their defense has looked pretty mediocre in the games I have seen. Their stats, look like the stats of 6-6 team.
December 4th, 2011 at 1:56 AM ^
Let's not get cocky now. I think Kansas State is a worthy opponent and so would be TCU. We would be the favorites but you never know. Whoever it is, let's go in that game and play as if we were playing for a Championship. We have a statement to make.
December 4th, 2011 at 1:58 AM ^
Agreed, any team that gets a month to prepare has a chance.
December 4th, 2011 at 2:02 AM ^
What the hell is up with people posting comments like they're giving halftime speaches to Michigan football players? You do realize none of us will touch the field for the game in January, right?
....fucking Shmo Schembechler
December 4th, 2011 at 2:10 AM ^
But that one was over-the-top.
December 4th, 2011 at 1:58 AM ^
Is anybody else just slightly nervous we might get buttraped by the bcs again this year? We are deserving but Michigan tends to get shit on by voters. I feel it in my bones that we will get a bid, but nervousness will linger til 8 o clock tomorow
December 4th, 2011 at 2:08 AM ^
Very intelligent. Or maybe you suffer from an anxiety disorder ,CUZ WE BE IN !
December 4th, 2011 at 3:08 AM ^
No, Michigan does not get buttraped by the BCS and shit on by voters. Of course, as a Michigan Fan and alumni, I want Michigan to go to a BCS Bowl. And the reality of our alumni base almost dictates we will.
You want to know who gets screwed?
- Boise State
- Arkansas
- South Carolina
- Arkansas loses only to LSU & Alabama, and is shut out.
- South Carolina beat Clemson, but are doomed by their two losses.
- Everyone hates Boise State, but man, they just win.
And also screwed, although harder to make a case for:
- Michigan State
- Georgia
- Baylor
- Virginia Tech
Those are seven decent teams who won't play in a BCS bowl. It is particularly a joke to me that Clemson and WVu, two teams each having three losses, are projected to play in the Orange Bowl.
So please don't whine about "Michigan always gets buttraped by the voters." Cause they don't.
December 4th, 2011 at 3:15 AM ^
We were selected over a 11-1 Kansas St that was a 36-33 Big 12 championship loss away from playing in the national championship game. The attractiveness of our fanbase secured the Orange Bowl bid, and the unattractive KSU fanbase fell all the way to the Alamo Bowl. (Which KSU lost to Purdue in a typical outcome for a "Disappointment Bowl".)
December 4th, 2011 at 5:28 AM ^
The only team you listed that is actually being "screwed" is Arkansas. Every other team has no better case than Michigan does for a BCS game.
December 4th, 2011 at 2:14 AM ^
Why would anyone fear K State, a team that annually serves as the most overrated team in the county.
December 4th, 2011 at 2:30 AM ^
Stupid phone double post.
December 4th, 2011 at 2:28 AM ^
I would much rather face KSU than TCU. It really doesn't matter as long as we go.
December 4th, 2011 at 2:33 AM ^
take it for sure.
December 4th, 2011 at 3:11 AM ^
Looks like one of those fanbase dogs is getting in.

That might not be such a bad game. Probably a better matchup for us than the Horned Frogs of TCU. I would take that.
December 4th, 2011 at 8:46 AM ^
If UM is in the top-14 (and they should based on results from yesterday), then they are a lock to picked either 1st or 2nd as an At-Large depending on how the top of the rankings work out. Personally, I'd rather play Stanford than KSU just because it is a bigger match-up and feels more traditional, but I'd take anyone this year just for the opportunity to add a BCS win to a really good first season under Hoke.
December 4th, 2011 at 10:20 AM ^
Having said that, I agree with BroxBlue - a M/Stanford matchup just sounds right. That could very well be the Josh Garnett Bowl!
December 4th, 2011 at 10:56 AM ^
Houston lost. Would have sucked to have a c-usa team in the bcs...
December 4th, 2011 at 11:32 AM ^
As a KSU grad, I am not sure I want this. I can barely make it through a game alive, let alone if my two teams played each other. Michigan should have the upper hand, but you can't count out Bill Snyder. They will be prepared and they will do everything they can to slow the game down. As long as someone gets a block on Arthur Brown (LB), UM should run all over them.
