Early Line: Michigan favored 8.5 vs. Ohio
http://www.vegasinsider.com/college-football/odds/las-vegas/line-moveme…
Early lines out: Michigan's favored by 8.5 and betting at -110 at the Wynn. I'll be curious to see what the weather forecast does for the O/U. Currently it's expected to be a high of 52o with showers.

Shoot. I don't like how Michigan does in crappy weather.
November 20th, 2011 at 7:03 PM ^
I'm amused you think that would be crappy weather for November 26 in Ann Arbor.

I've lived in Michigan all my life, and I've certainly seen worse. I was at the 2007 OSU game and the 2008 Northwestern game, both of which we lost, by the way. But I haven't seen our team play that well in inclement weather. Michigan always seems to turn into a derpfest whenever there's bad weather. In 2007, we played OSU in the rain and scored 3 points on them. In 2008, we played Notre Dame in the rain and had six turnovers, lost to Northwestern in crappy conditions. In 2010, we had the Purdue derpfest that we somehow escaped. This year, we had the trash tornado. We won against Western in the rain but they didn't play very long in the rain before the game was called because of thunder and lightning. I really hope it doesn't rain.

High and tight, we'll be alright.

where Lloyd played Jenner the whole game and he should have prepped Mallet more as a 2H change up. (And kept home in longer when he did play him.)
Not because Mallet was any less likely to drop a snap, but because Chad Henne's arm was hanging from it's socket.
My point: the weather sucked, but it had nothing to do with the outcome of the game.
November 20th, 2011 at 7:14 PM ^
I'd prefer 30 degrees and snow to 50 degrees and rain. November rain sucks.
See what I did?
November 20th, 2011 at 7:28 PM ^
It is a little over the top obviously, but I think the gaudy video and the drama of Use Your Illusion/about to break up G N' R overshadowed what is otherwise a pretty good track, even if it lacks the edge of Appetite for Destruction or even a track like "Civil War".
November 20th, 2011 at 8:01 PM ^
What are you talking about?
November 20th, 2011 at 8:08 PM ^
The guy mentioned "November rain," then said "see what I did there?" The next guy responded, because "November Rain" was a chart topping song in 1992 by Guns N Roses, with an epic video, and he was....nevermind.
Yeah, it all flew over your head.

Once upon a time there was a channel called Music Television that had the audacity to actually play music all day long (with maybe a brief break for "Remote Control" or for Dan Cortese to go bungee jumping). These sweet sounds echoed across the land and inspired children to gather up their shiny nickles and purchase their favorite tunes in physical form. It was a magical time...
November 20th, 2011 at 8:39 PM ^
That Real World/Road Rules channel?
Mind: blown.
November 20th, 2011 at 9:13 PM ^
Road Rules got cancelled seven years ago. Kyle Kalis has no idea what that even is.
November 20th, 2011 at 8:26 PM ^
I actually like November Rain as a rock ballad, but it didn't fit well with my example.

We better hope it's over 50 or there won't be any students showing up. Anyone nervous about being overrun like in 2009? Club level doesn't usually have problems but the stadium was pretty red for a school 2,000 miles away last Saturday, I'm nervous because of the Scarlet only 200 miles away.
November 20th, 2011 at 9:05 PM ^
Fans of a 6-5 team generally don't overrun their opponents' stadiums.
November 20th, 2011 at 11:25 PM ^
I'm no geography major, but isn't 2000 miles away from Ann Arbor somewhere near San Fransico?
November 20th, 2011 at 7:13 PM ^
Take it from a guy who grew up there. That's superb weather for November 26th.
November 20th, 2011 at 7:00 PM ^
Just beacuse of what we did to Nebraska...
I'm taking the over.
November 20th, 2011 at 7:07 PM ^
if we take care if the ball and don't commit stupid turnovers we will beat them by 3 TD's. their offense is terrible. early prediction UM 35-14
November 20th, 2011 at 7:08 PM ^
OVER!! Michigan by at least 3 touchdowns.
November 20th, 2011 at 7:09 PM ^
November 20th, 2011 at 7:10 PM ^
An historically epic weekend for Michigan Football. A lot of big time recruits, and the chance to destroy tsio.
November 20th, 2011 at 7:11 PM ^
8.5 touchdowns?
November 20th, 2011 at 11:08 PM ^
the same thing buddy. There's blood in the water and the sharks are hungry.
November 20th, 2011 at 7:12 PM ^
If the line stays there, and Ohio covers by 7.5, I'll go home a happy, happy man.
November 20th, 2011 at 7:14 PM ^
....except I'll need a ride, and then I have to explain to my wife's family over yet another Thanksgiving feast why A) I am blasted, and B) I am actually happy at a family meal.
No, they aren't sports people. My side of the family, this would be normal behavior.
November 20th, 2011 at 7:25 PM ^
Both of which should be easily solved by having Brady Hoke point at all parties involved.
November 20th, 2011 at 7:28 PM ^
I had to explain Hoke pointing to my wife and her family once....I couldn't believe they were not aware of the raw power of the Point.
November 20th, 2011 at 7:20 PM ^
Weather: Let's have a repeat of the '08 Northwestern game, baby! Woooohooooo!!
November 20th, 2011 at 7:20 PM ^
A win and I will be happy. After losing a lot of money on the msu game I gave up betting for the year. My canopy was gone when coming back from the nebraska game. Maybe I'll put 60-70 dollars on the game to get it back. Maybe.
November 20th, 2011 at 8:38 PM ^
Whats the bedt way to bet. Do u do it online
November 20th, 2011 at 9:31 PM ^
Judging by the way you type, you do not need to learn how to bet on sports.
November 20th, 2011 at 9:33 PM ^
I do it online. sportsbook.com although I do not recommend. Late night on the table can kill you.
November 20th, 2011 at 7:28 PM ^
This is a good opportunity to make some $$$ IMO.
November 20th, 2011 at 7:35 PM ^
Sounds about right. I just want a win. It has been a long 7 years. I just can't imagine another year listening to their bullshit.
November 20th, 2011 at 7:36 PM ^
I think we'll win by more like 24.
November 20th, 2011 at 7:45 PM ^
Until that fucking clock on the Columbus Dispatch website that says "Days Since Michigan Victory Over Ohio State" disappears and Brady Hoke is fielding the question in the post game press conference "Why did you go for 2 up 45-7?"
November 20th, 2011 at 7:56 PM ^
If it happens, I'M ASKING IT! Bank on it!
I wonder if Woody would be rolling in his grave?

At the risk of getting blasted on the board, we cannot assume that Denard wouldn't have a bad passing game in poor weather or that the sharp cuts by Toussaint would be somewhat negated in slick conditions. Moreover, OSU still has a solid defense so they could conceivably rise to the occasion and stall our offense. Add in an arm punt and a rain-induced fumble or two and this game could completely turn on its head.
Until I see Michigan beat Ohio State, I will not be too confident about this one. Logically it is undeniable that Michigan has played like a superior team this year and should win by a fair margin, but I know better than to count out Ohio State when it comes to this game.
November 20th, 2011 at 8:03 PM ^
You need to be worrying about northwestern. That's who your team is playing.
November 20th, 2011 at 8:20 PM ^
That is just not right. I grew up a Michigan fan from birth, went to U-M (LSA 08) and currently work for U-M in their Office of University Development. I had to spend the UM-MSU game in a bar in East Lansing and it was the most miserable, horrific experience I have had since The Horror. I may be anxious about losing this game, but I am far from an MSU fan.
You were probably being sarcastic, but that struck a nerve.

Sparty On brah
November 20th, 2011 at 7:54 PM ^
is not likely to stay that high the whole week. could end up at 4 or 6
November 21st, 2011 at 11:19 AM ^
this line wont cross over 7.
I dont think you realize how big of a movement 8.5 to 4 is.
November 20th, 2011 at 7:54 PM ^
Miller over the last couple weeks. I know he can make some plays with his legs, but it seems like when the pocket collapses, he usually gets sacked or makes a bad throw. After seeing the way we handled Martinez, I think Mattison will bring a lot of packages where it looks like we are blitzing and only bring four. I don't think Herron will be a problem either. Poisey will probably get a couple catches, but I am very content with our secondary right now. Hopefully Countess will get that big play he has been wanting.
November 20th, 2011 at 8:02 PM ^
I don't see how Ohio scores more than two touchdowns against the defense...I suppose maybe on special teams or turnovers, but Denard is making great strides in this department and I like the special teams play overall. I don't think the offense will score a ton of points for us, but we will have good field position the whole game. If I was a betting man, I'd take the over.
But maybe I'm a little biased...
