THJ: ranked #68
Tim Hardaway Jr. is #68 in this preseason ranking:

Personally, I'd take him over William Buford of OSU (in the top twenty there), who I see as less versatile as Hardaway. Anyway, it's probably asking too much for a preseason ranking to be anything more than a discussion topic.

that he keeps getting better. He was good last year, but with another year in the system he could be even more studley. I have never been so excited for basketball to start.

We'll have to wait and see how he handles the bulk of the creating without D-Mo. I can't wait for the season to start and see how this team plays.

its gonna be hard for him this year with morris gone everyone is going to key on him to shut him down. They need another guy to step up.

north carolina has 4 kids in the top 13

they have the 5th starter at 97. That's cray-jee.
Is Draymond Green that good (#27)? I'm all for Sullinger and Jordan Taylor both being top 3, though.

If the rankings are for best flop artists, Draymond Green is grossly underrated.

I would love to have him on our team.

Never said he wasn't talented, just that I've seen him fall down like Shaq came at him on contact that Novak would absorb with no problem.

Contrary to popular belief. He was 3-14 from the field in Ann Arbor last year.

...ready for the league talent there.

Aaron Craft is ranked 43 spots ahead of THJ? Really?
October 20th, 2011 at 9:51 AM ^
Craft is ahead of Robbie Hummel.

I just can't believe Hummel is still in school. Is he back for his 8th year now?
October 20th, 2011 at 11:40 AM ^
medical redshirt for last year. who knows if he'll be the same after the ACL. still say he's better than Craft. even at 85%.

I believe Hummel was granted the rare Evan Eschmeyer Post-Post-Graduate Scholarship by the conference.

Hardaway was underrated by many as a recruit, and will continue to be underrated as a player. He isn't flashy, isn't a ball-hog, and the team hasn't gotten to the sweet sixteen yet. If Trey Burke turns out to be a pure PG, Hardaway might see his scoring average go up. That would probably force the MSM to respect him more.
I would imagine that opposing coaches already have a lot of respect for him.

I know even less about basketball than I do about football, which is saying something. But being the bandwagon fan that I am, I jumped on for most of last year. From an amateur sports fan perspective, he seemed like a budding star. Electric at times. Seemed special, meaning you watched him even when he didn't have the ball.
October 20th, 2011 at 9:27 AM ^
Anyone that can admit that they are a bandwagon jumper should be rewarded a +1 if only for their honesty.

I'll follow football religously until I'm in the ground.
But last year's BBALL team was fantastic to watch. They may bring a lot of us disinterested folk back, and keep us around.

That unibrow really freaks me out.

I MGothink that THJr will MGocarry us to the MGoB1G MGoChampionship MGoGame this MGoyear. He's so MGoexplosive. I MGothink the MGoreal MGocatalyst to the MGoseason, though, will be, as most MGopeople MGothink, the MGopointguard. I do MGohope that Trey Burke gets the most MGoplayingtime among the MGopoints. Stu should be MGospotting up, running around MGoscreens.

Yeah - that schtick is never gonna get old.
I take your point, though.

I'm guessing this list is a projection because there's no way Thomas Robinson belongs in the top 10 or Kendall Marshall in the top 15 based on what they've done so far. Craft is thought of a bit too highly IMO.
October 20th, 2011 at 12:04 PM ^
I'm guessing they have Buford over THJ because Buford is a senior this year while THJ is only a sophomore. Hopefully he can keep improving and by the time he's a senior here (hopefully he stays that long) he's a Top 5 sure fire NBA Lottery Pick guy
