TY for that update, no sarcasm. I would not have even turned on that game...
October 8th, 2011 at 10:33 PM ^
im so torn on who to root for....
October 8th, 2011 at 10:39 PM ^
I don't care if an OSU loss puts us in a title game... I will never root for OSU.
October 8th, 2011 at 10:44 PM ^
That's pretty little brotherish, especially since we all blasted Dantonio for saying the same thing. This situation where one would need to root for Ohio for Michigan to gain position is pretty rare anyway since it's both of our last games, but if an Ohio win directly benefited us while we didn't control our destiny, then I would certianly root for them.
October 8th, 2011 at 10:47 PM ^
Agreed. Abover poster hereby negged for Spartitude. If there's a direct benefit to be had by Ohio winning, then nobody should have a problem rooting for them. Rooting against Michigan is bad juju.
October 8th, 2011 at 11:03 PM ^
MSU didn't hold their own destiny in their hands in 2008. If Michigan takes care of business, it doesn't matter whether Ohio wins or not, so I say it's perfectly acceptable to root against OSU in this particular situation, if one is so inclined.
October 8th, 2011 at 11:19 PM ^
I'm not saying that this situation applies as since Michigan is undefeated, we control our own destiny. But if an 08 situation somehow arose(where from MSU's perspective a UM win would have put a Rose Bowl berth in their control), I sure as heck would root for whatever gives us the best possible result.
October 8th, 2011 at 11:06 PM ^
I wanted Nebraska to curb stomp tSiO as it would make the MSU v. tSiO game look even worse.
but I live in East Lansing, so I guess my perspective is a little different than others'.
October 8th, 2011 at 11:22 PM ^
If an OSU loss would put us in a title game, wouldn't that not present a dilemma for you?
October 8th, 2011 at 11:34 PM ^
As long as Michigan is the one putting on the loss.
I would not root fot Ohio, period. Would I be upset if they won, and we got the title nod? No. But that doesn't mean I'm going to root for them, ever. I would not watch the game, and accept the consequences. It makes me feel dirty. I don't want to feel dirty.
October 8th, 2011 at 11:58 PM ^
What's best for Michigan doesn't make you feel dirty.

Interesting perspective.
October 9th, 2011 at 12:18 AM ^
I'm sorry. I'd be glad for the outcome. But I can't sit and watch a game and cheer when braxton miller runs for a 80-yd touchdown. Call me crazy, neg away. But that's never going to change. I'm not an SEC fan and I never will be.
October 9th, 2011 at 3:46 AM ^
Michigan going to the title is what's best for Michigan. You wouldn't root for that, so apparently you're the best Michigan fan around? That makes you an SEC fan, how?
Call me crazy, but I want to see Michigan in the best position to win championships, get top recruits, sell jerseys (lol) and vanquish hated rivals. I don't think you "get it" if you won't root for OSU to help Michigan do any of those things. There's literally no question about what helps Michigan, so I would classify that attitude as more of an OSU hater than a UM supporter (and if that's the case, that's fine. No argument 99% of the time, I hate them too).

I dont think anyone is wishing for an injury. Just simply stated he got hurt. But ya, they just retaped him and should be good to go.
October 8th, 2011 at 10:31 PM ^
Wow.. Nebraska is pulling back in the game!
October 8th, 2011 at 10:34 PM ^
First. I dont wish injury on anyone.
Second, twitter is saying hes up and walking around testing out the ankle
October 8th, 2011 at 10:39 PM ^
But VERY gingerly
October 8th, 2011 at 10:56 PM ^
FWIW, I had a very similar looking injury last year. I tried to plant and rolled over my ankle. I could hear/feel a bunch of rapid popping sensations in my ankle, like breaking raw pasta. I was able to play another 15 minutes of the game, but once we had it in the bag, I pulled myself out. The next day, I planted my foot on the ground to get out of bed and go to work and immediately hopped on one foot to my phone to call off. I wasn't able to walk on it at all for 2-3 days, and had a noticeable limp for over 2 weeks. I wasn't fully healed for a few months, and that was without any activity on it.
And no, I'm not a doctor. I didn't even play one on TV or stay at a Holiday Inn Express. But fo' real, that was the same injury...

Hate to see a kid get hurt, even if it is a Buckeye. Wouldn't mind if he was out for the OSU-UM game though. Bauserman. Yes please.

Looks he's back in so probably just a sprain.
October 8th, 2011 at 10:35 PM ^
honestly I hope they didn't numb him to the point he wont feel real damage.
October 8th, 2011 at 10:39 PM ^
Varisty Blue style. The announcers said they gave him an aspirin. Aspirin must be code for something else.
October 8th, 2011 at 10:40 PM ^
Hope he recovers soon; always hate to see someone hurt
October 8th, 2011 at 10:41 PM ^
they actually figured out how to use him and now back to Bauserman. Tough break, although ankle injury is better than knee.
October 8th, 2011 at 10:43 PM ^
I feel for Miller, but I don't feel for the buckeyes.
October 8th, 2011 at 10:44 PM ^
Fickell punting from the 30. Haha.
October 8th, 2011 at 10:45 PM ^
its almost like the guy hates his job...if they lose this one TWIS will be exceptional
October 9th, 2011 at 10:15 AM ^
He had to punt. It was the only logical choice. It was 4th and 13 or 14 at the Nebraska 35 or so. His choices were to kick a 50+ yard field goal, or go for it on 4th and long or punt.
And punting turned out to be the best option. They pinned Nebraska back inside the 10 yard line.
Fickell may have made some mistakes this game but this was not one of them.

is that field so damn nasty looking?
October 8th, 2011 at 10:57 PM ^
Taylor Martinez might want to learn how to slide before he tries a run like that again.
