Game Day vs Notre Dame

on a golf course when your ball enters a smoking crater? Play as it lies or get a drop? Ann Arbor September 10th is going to be memorable.

jumping on the bandwagon. Can't blame them but really don't give a shit about them being there. Hmmm ... if Herbie is coming to AA from Tennessee, he'll need to drive up through Indiana (I-69) or face the possibility of "tsio terrorists" attacking him on I-75.
Go Blue!

He probably flies, he's no John Madden.
Seconded.
I'll never get why some people take it so seriously whether the Home Depot Show comes to town or not. I've actually seen people get MAD on here when they choose another game. Why care?
That's the best way from Nashville

was likely Alabama at Penn State. First night game at Michigan stadium makes it seem like a no brainer, but that game is also attractive.
Ah.... to be in that position where the biggest work week dilema is what college football game to go to.

Is Gameday now playing ND? And will they have goofy throwback uniforms? (Actually the crew all in hats and jackets and smoking might be kinda amusing),

This is only a guess, but I'm thinking Corso will be playiing fullback...
August 5th, 2011 at 11:26 AM ^
Yeah right - Corso is in such bad shape right now, no way he could handle FB. Heck, EA Sports couldn't even get him to do voice overs for NCAA the last few years.
Its like corporate intermural sports. Unfortunately, GameDay is able to draw from the ESPN employee base in general, which means any and all of the NFL contributors are eligible. Could spell trouble . . .

No word on location yet, but money is on the golf course.
last time they were here it was outside the stadium. In the parking lot behind sec. 32. I worked for them running one of the cameras. It is right next to the tv trucks for the game. I wont be there this year. so bummed. I was on the espn show for the game, but had to get out of it. I have to work in traverse city for 7 days for the NHL prospects games. CGD is a great show to work on. long day (18 hours or so). great money. great crew, and the host are nice too.

Corso can't pick us to win cause we don't have a stupid mascot head....

When he picks us to win, he puts on the helmet.

His head is huge!
August 5th, 2011 at 12:12 PM ^
Would ya look at the size of that Lee's head It's the size of a planetoid and it has it's own weather system Looks like an orange on a toothpick I'm not kidding, that guy's head is like Sputnik spherical but quite pointy at parts He'll be crying himself to sleep tonight, on his huge pillow.

Not so fast my friend.

I dunno if people realize this but this is going to be bad news. Getting started for an 8 o'clock game at 5 AM. In the morning. I went to gameday before the OSU game a few years back and we had to leave our house at 4 am. We got the cops called on us for singing the victors walking down the street (a pretty big group). When we got there, there was already a huge line. By the end of the game I was exhausted.
There are going to be college kids who haven't perfected their method yet who are dropping like flies. Have the paramedics ready.

I've *perfected* (redbull, lots and lots of redbull) my method and I'm going to be dropping like a fly.
August 5th, 2011 at 12:23 PM ^
Likely from college kids. We tried to go to game day for the 2003 Notre Dame game when I was a senior. We woke up at 6AM with shots of Captain Morgan. Got to gameday around 7AM, which is obviously way too late. We left and spent the gorgeous day spent tailgating on state street. To be honest, the game is kind of fuzzy until the second half, and the "Houston's Better" chant the student section started. 38-0. Great, great day, but if the game had been at 8PM, I don't think I had yet developed the appropriate level of restraint required to make it into the stadium.

For those that were wondering about ND parking. I found out that it is business as usual for Pioneer - gates open at 6am. Possibly old news for some.
Mission - to make the wife realize that getting in line by 530 is essential.
You need to write a book.
Even more true because she is prego
Any idea when the course gates will open up? Hoping for 8am!

I am very interested to see how A2 handles the traffic after the game...
Why would it be much different from any other home game?
DAMN I can't wait for this game. It's so close, yet so far away. This will definitely be a double kegger at a friend's house. So freaking excited for football.
I'm glad its confirmed now. That way I can start making a gameplan now at how I'm going to survive this day. I'm thinking a nap is going to have to be planned in, but I already know thats going to fail and result in me just sitting in bed playing the game on NCAA 12 since there is no way I'd be able to sleep.
Overall I'm just hoping that there aren't too many students that just pass out and don't make it to the game becuase I want the student section to be as full and loud as possible.
I am worried about the health of some of my friends who have shown no interest in waking up later than the normal 530am gameday time. Its gonna get reckless down by the frats
