Zach Charbonnet Injury Rumor

Submitted by Trader Jack on September 18th, 2019 at 4:02 PM

Hate to be the bearer of (possible) bad news, but there is major smoke on the 247 Victors Board about a possible multi-week injury to Zach Charbonnet. Someone fire off the UMBig11 bat signal.

Someone insinuated that maybe the coaches overworked him with him being a freshman. I don't agree.

I just posted Dillon's freshman carries for context.

Edit: The attempts for a freshman who got featured Day 1 is what I was showing.

Nothing about production or record or anything like that.

Interpret however you want.

I'm what some might call an unapologetic, maize-colored glasses wearing, kool-aid drinking, homer. (Though I was sincerely rooting for Miss State in that bowl so RR could finally leave)

I'll make any excuse to defend the program and the coaches (within reason). I know now more than ever there are those working extra hard to do the opposite.

I also know the toxicity of the room, so anything I said before the narrative comes out ...half would get it, a quarter wouldn't, and the other quarter would just find a way to argue about it.

Edit: I'm also aware this is a Wendy's.

Exactly because I’m sick of all the groupthink bullshit on here. The Michigan media are shills, scared to report.  Then when anyone else posts accurate info the whole board turns into a feeding frenzy against them. Just wait and see if it’s true. If it is,maybe think a little more objectively from here on.

LOL. Have you seen the beat writers and bloggers covering other rivals and power programs? A rumor like this would never even make it to the fanbase for 2 reasons:

1. Michigan's fanbase is insane when chasing down injury rumors and information, even to the program's detriment.

2. There is a ridiculous number of people covering Michigan football to meet the appetite of the people from #1. Most of them are very good at their jobs at providing Michigan fans good, unbiased ANALYSIS and news from the team. But most of these early injury reports usually come from social media stalkers, college students in class with one of the players, or people who shouldn't be revealing medical information about college kids. That is kind of gross and not what Michigan media should be doing anyway.

People like you said the same thing after last week's "bombshell" report of another OL being out for the year with an injury.  And then ... whoops, turns out the OL will be all hands on deck this week.

Sometimes these insiders are right, and sometimes not. That's all we know right now.

The players are in a bad position. Shea Patterson when asked if DPJ was practicing stated he was as far as he knew.

You know something... I wish Harbaugh would deliberately obfuscate and send out false info to us, and thus the opposing teams, because in it lies power.  Always thought how connected we are to program it seems, that its a negative...  so I hope this is fake info.

Its a detailed report on an injury that already existed and hasn't really been debunked. He is probably some level of hurt and they are looking at whether they need to scope the knee again or not.

So the only RB you have gets hurt in practice. Harbaugh is on the clock now.

Let's see if the Ohio qb gets nicked in practice. Will never happen. If true, this is inexcusable.
