Where are you watching the Michigan Game? Not on ABC if you have Dish

Submitted by sierragold on

A bit early I know.  I had to peak ahead do to a busy week. I do know the one place that Michigan fans will not be watching the game and that is all Dish Network Subscribers, they have elected to choose Jan 1, 2016 to drop ABC from the schedule of programming. Talk about a bargaining chip when you are trying to settle a contract, take away the Michigan Bowl Game.

Prior commitments are keeping me home. I do have time to purchase some accessories to stream the game from my smartphone to the tv just don't have any idea if this has good reception or not. Any good advice would be helpful. I am stuck at home.

There are no sports bars nearby your location. You may try walking south until you run into the S203, because, there are no roads where you are at. From there you could posibly get a ride into Hinggan, Inner Mongolia. Although there a still no sports bars there; transportation will be much better to Beijing where you can try the "All Star Sports Bar & Griil". If, and a very small if, Michigan is on TV in Beijing it will probably be there.
Also if you have a place to charge your electronics you may just want to look into streaming since you have an internet connection. perhaps you could set these up around a make shift table or bar and pretend? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gNkR49rQqU

I believe this is only a local dispute (Lansing).  If you receive your local stations from Detroit  ot other areas you should be OK.

yes, Comcast is still the devil, but if you complain about your bill right now, they'll offer you a new triple play bundle with X1 DVR, faster connection speed, and every channel for roughly $180. It's a pretty good deal if you're so inclined.

I can give you 3 or 4.

The quality depends on the stream source, so difficult to know in advance.  Probably maxs out on a 19"-21" monitor.

Let me know and I'll look them up.

Buy a digital antenna, plug it in to the wall, coax. Cable to the TV and scan channels. You know have free HD all 4 major networks and a bunch of stupid channels for free as well! It's free, just the cost of a $25-$100 digital antenna.

Sling tv sports package + watch ESPN. $25 a month and I get 90% of the college football content I could ever want. If I have to watch btn/cbs/fox then I just go to a friend's house or the union.

I went to a sports bar for the Utah game and the MSU game.  We lost both.  I stayed home for the OSU game for fear of going to the bar and causing Michigan to lose that one.

So, I have no clue what to do from a supersticious point of view.

I have no comment on the dish thing, but if the outside tv is working, I'll be watching poolside. If not, I may go into town to Jack Flats - lots of tv's there. If anyone is in Key West and wants to watch, let me know.
