Watching The Game again on BTN open thread
This is probably a lame excuse to start a thread (OK, "definitely" not "probably"), but I'm still having that postgame warm and fuzzy feeling and hoping to keep it going by re-watching The Game on BTN right now, preferably virtually with other MGoBlog brethren with the same warm fuzzies.
Who's with me?!?!
EDIT: Is the guide lying again? Unfortunately I'm getting Mike Hall talking about basketball instead. Sigh BTN. Neg away, errbody.
EDIT2: As noted, it's on now, at least in Ann Arbor.

yeah was totally waiting all day to watch, I didn't get to watch the game on Saturday. This sucks beyond belief.
November 27th, 2011 at 9:37 PM ^
Not on BTN in Louisville.
November 27th, 2011 at 9:37 PM ^
Starting now
November 27th, 2011 at 9:38 PM ^
I guess the other program was just running long. It looks like it's on now.
November 27th, 2011 at 9:39 PM ^
But i'm in Ann Arbor.
November 27th, 2011 at 9:39 PM ^
This could be a close one.
November 27th, 2011 at 9:55 PM ^
I say the final score will be 40-34 Michigan win.

THE KNOWLEDGE?
November 27th, 2011 at 10:00 PM ^
Double posts always suck.
So. To make this one suck just a little bit less, here are the full lyrics to the Victors.
- Now for a cheer they are here, triumphant!
- Here they come with banners flying,
- In stalwart step they're nighing,
- With shouts of vict'ry crying,
- We hurrah, hurrah, we greet you now, Hail!
- Far we their praises sing
- For the glory and fame they've bro't us
- Loud let the bells them ring
- For here they come with banners flying
- Far we their praises tell
- For the glory and fame they've bro't us
- Loud let the bells them ring
- For here they come with banners flying
- Here they come, Hurrah!
(chorus)
- Hail! to the victors valiant
- Hail! to the conqu'ring heroes
- Hail! Hail! to Michigan
- The leaders and best!
- Hail! to the victors valiant
- Hail! to the conqu'ring heroes
- Hail! Hail! to Michigan,
- The champions of the West!
(break strain)
- We cheer them again
- We cheer and cheer again
- For Michigan, we cheer for Michigan
- We cheer with might and main
- We cheer, cheer, cheer
- With might and main we cheer!

I think it's hilarious a thread was created for this. Love it. I am recording it and will keep it for a rainy day.
November 27th, 2011 at 9:44 PM ^
Um... BEAT OHIO!
November 27th, 2011 at 9:56 PM ^
Is that past tense then?
November 27th, 2011 at 9:45 PM ^
It doesn't rain at any point during the game.
November 27th, 2011 at 9:45 PM ^
on the bomb? Blake? I did not see it.
November 27th, 2011 at 9:51 PM ^
SPOILER ALERT
Good guys win.
November 27th, 2011 at 9:54 PM ^

There was a dude in section 16 claiming that the false start was due entire due to our section. I love drunk fans.

I was at the game so I didn't get a chance to hear the commentary. I already can't stand Speilman. How is allowed that an alumn can call his own game? Or am I just being overly sensitive?
November 27th, 2011 at 10:00 PM ^
I like when he says put Braxton miller with urban Meyer and he'll be even more electric than Denard Robinson. He goes on to say he could rush for 1200 yards. Yeah bro, how's about 1800?
November 27th, 2011 at 10:05 PM ^
He's objecitonal with a play on the field for the msot part. However, I found him highly critical of UM players and overly enthusiastic about Ohio people dressed in shoulder pads.
For example, his comment about how if you think Denard is electric wait until you see Miller in an Urban Meyer spread offense.

My favorite is on the bullshit goal line call that took away the td. One of the announcers (I can't remember if it was Spielman or not but probably) says "Well it's hard to tell but this is the better look at it" when they show the view that puts the ball short of the goal line. I flipped out at my screen when they said that. Why is that the better look? It's identical to the other view except it puts the ball short. Assholes.

Woops. Go Blue.

I really like Herbstreit. I think he does a pretty good job. We just need some Michigan alumns to call some games. How about an Eisen and Schefter combo?
November 27th, 2011 at 9:58 PM ^
Ive been wanting to see what this game looks and sounds like on television, even though being there was awesome.
November 27th, 2011 at 9:58 PM ^
I haven't seen the TV version of The Game yet.
November 27th, 2011 at 9:59 PM ^
a second watch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GO BLUE!!!
November 27th, 2011 at 10:00 PM ^
I love the exchange between Hoke and Martin after the safety call. The look on Hoke's face was priceless.

wow how does robinson get anything on that trick play
November 27th, 2011 at 10:03 PM ^
Was silent during the end of the game. It was the BEST analysis all game!
November 27th, 2011 at 10:03 PM ^
This is just like the LiveBlog . . . except all of my asinine comments get automatically approved!
Is this what being a Mod feels like?

November 27th, 2011 at 10:12 PM ^
So according to Spielman, Chad Henne, Mike Hart, Jake Long et al. had no confidence they could beat Ohio State in 2006? Excellent analysis, bucknut.

I thought everyone here was exaggerating yesterday

I hope Mattison watches the film from this game before next year's Game. Every time we went to the Okie zone-blitz front with Morgan on the nose and six or seven on the line, Ohio checked to a QB draw. Every time. I think toward the end of the game they adjusted by having Martin and Van Bergen squeeze down toward the center rather than rush the passer, and they stopped Miller once on the last drive doing that.
November 27th, 2011 at 10:22 PM ^
I noticed that Mattison was baiting Miller in the 4th. The D line was pinching down quite a bit.
November 27th, 2011 at 10:30 PM ^
I feel like he'll probably watch the film sometime in the next year... Although with Meyer at the helm Ohio will probably have an even better spread attack. Hopefully our linebackers can handle those Tebow style jump passes.
November 27th, 2011 at 10:18 PM ^
I heart Kovacs. So glad he'll be back next year.
November 27th, 2011 at 10:29 PM ^
I dunno, he could declare early and give Andrew Luck a run for his money...

We watched it at home--taping it at the same time. So the minute it was over? THE REWATCHING BEGAN.
November 27th, 2011 at 11:02 PM ^
Denard was so money. Man, no QB oh noes in the second half.
November 27th, 2011 at 11:14 PM ^
Way more entertaining than SNF. Borges called a tremendous game
November 27th, 2011 at 11:22 PM ^
I didn't fully realize how well Denard was passing when this was live. He threw a lot of great passes. That one to Dileo on the last drive was a dime.
November 27th, 2011 at 11:23 PM ^
Here comes the Ref-a-palooza effort to throw the game to OSU. Think I'll hate it just as much the second time.
November 27th, 2011 at 11:25 PM ^
So...did the head ref, Bill Lemonier (sp?) spit up blood during the Fitz td overturn? There was something red that came out of his mouth as he was talking...
