Shame. But I’d rather see him healthy and rested to play against Wisconsin. That’s gonna be a physical game and we’ll need Wilson’s pass protection skills and change of pace to Charbonnet and Turner

I say this with all due respect to Tru because he's a dog...but you don't really benefit from a change of pace when that pace is "slower". Charbonnet can clearly pass pro at a high level for a freshman, maybe without any qualifiers. As athletes, Charbonnet and Turner are clearly superior to Tru, and so is BVS.

Now, Tru is a warrior, and has pretty good instincts with the ball in his hands, but my take from week one is that Charbonnet and Turner is pretty much all we need at RB. Wilson would be nice just give the main two a rest, but without his pass pro being clearly superior to everyone, Wilson is kind of a 3rd-string-at-best luxury nowadays.

Well, "writing him off" is a bit strong.  But otherwise, yes.  I said on Sunday morning, and since then as well, that his days at the top of the RB depth chart are gone.  He has the talent, drive, and heart to play as well as any of them.  What he lacks is simply the athleticism.  That can't be taught, and both Charbonnet and Turner have a lot more than he has.

He will provide some good plays, but he will clearly be RB3...

I agree with both of you.  Tru has the heart of a lions but Michigan isn’t going to compete for a title with walk-ons and converted FBs playing other positions.  If that was the case then EMU would be just as good as UM.

Still need Charbonnet and Turner to be fresh come November. So Tru Wilson still holds plenty of value. If and when we blow teams out we don’t want either of these guys running the ball. A reliable guy like Tru who can run behind a line that is over powering a tired d line in the fourth quarter is imperative to Charbonnet’s late season success

My favorite was when the spartoons lost (with dignity, I assume) at the last minute to Nebraska and she started dropping F bombs on Twitter. No repercussions at ESPN.

I believe she also advocated for someone to assassinate the president, and also faced no repercussions from that.

Truly an an angry, awful person. The perfect spartoon.

You can do better than this OP. Is he out or not? Your post ends in a question mark, so it remains unclear. If you are going to link to a paywalled article, at least a one sentence summary would be helpful.

His injury was mentioned on the WTKA roundtable today, but they didn't specifically mention him missing any additional time or not. The team likely won't need him vs Army's defense, then you've got a bye week before we're on the road to UW, so if he has to miss a couple weeks there are worse times to do it.

I think Zach looked great in pass pro, but keep in mind that was against an undersized, if blitz-happy, MTSU defense. I assume he can keep it up at a similar pace as he looked very natural at it, but we may be glad to have a healthy Tru as we run into some tougher defenses, if Zach/Christian are having an off day or seeing some new/confusing things from a pass rush.

Get better soon, Tru.

Zach was stonewalling those undersized blitzers and Tru got pancaked against the same dudes. We want Zach to block the bigger tougher defenses too assuming this wasn't some one game fluke. Tru is still valuable but his value is limited to our 3rd depth RB. A healthy Zach and Turner will largely be in part to Tru getting his playing time. If Zach is resting on a passing down we can all agree we want Tru in there.
