Tonight's first CFP ranking - what say you?

Submitted by superstringer on

Oh, c'mon, what ELSE would you possibly be doing tonight?

So - what do you think WILL BE the top 4 teams tonight, and who do you think SHOULD BE the top four?

Will Be: 1 - Georgia; 2 - Alabama; 3 - Ohio State; 4 - Notre Dame

Should Be: 1 - Georgia; 2 - Alabama; 3 - Notre Dame; 4 - Oklahoma

Who I think it will and should be are pretty much the same, minus one small difference

1) Alabama - say what you will of their schedule, they're the king until they're dethroned

2) Georgia - they've looked damn impressive, and the ND win looks better every week

3) Oklahoma - the loss to ISU doesn't look that bad anymore. And the head-to-head win over OSU is huge. You can talk about who's the better team now, but there's no do-overs on that game. OSU lost.

4) OSU - best win of the year so far in beating PSU. But the head-to-head loss against Oklahoma prevents them from going any higher.

---

Who it should be is the same group, but Oklahoma is #4 and OSU is #3. I know Oklahoma beat them in Columbus, but OSU is a different team now. Play that game again and I bet OSU wins. As far as the outside looking in, Clemson has a bad loss but has time to make up for it. If OSU or Oklahoma go down again, they're right back in the top 4. Notre Dame has some pretty good wins, but a win over a vastly overrated USC team and a halfway decent NC State team won't be enough. They have no conference title game, and really only have the Miami game left to prove themselves. I think no conference title game will be what does them in.

Penn State is out barring a lot of chaos, and TCU is probably good for one more loss against Oklahoma.

An hour ago Kanell said he has Bama at 5 and that for Halloween he is dressing up like Bama's schedule by dressing as a cupcake.  Haha - he really likes to turn the screws on the SEC fanbase.

destroying those teams.  Their metrics are very good because of that. Even still, I don't think anyone could argue if they weren't number one because of that weak resume.  It is amazing that Vandy, Ole Miss, Ark and Tenn are 89th or worse in the F/+ rankings!!  Yikes.  That is Wisconsin level bad there.

I agree with what it probably will be, except that Alabama is going to be #1 and I think Georgia ends up being #2. Probably Ohio State then Notre Dame. I have a difficult time seeing a Big XII team in the discussion right now, but then I am not part of the committee.

Sad thing is that I'll have to find out the results as I am trying to convince my son that it is OK to actually ask for candy.

1. UGA

2. Bama

3. ND

4. Oklahoma

Think OSU will be 5, Be interessted see where they put Wisconsin/Miami both undefeated but haven't played anyone yet.  How do they decide on Clemson losing to 4-4 Cuse and PSU one point loss on the road.

What I think it will be

1. Bama

2.UGA

3. OSU

4. ND
