“Rutger” ... WTF???

It”s RutgerS !!  Why the disrespekt??  I respect this site for recruiting insights and enjoy the banter, but why this??  It’s different with a rival because they are generally equals, but the Scarlet Knights suck in football, so what’s the threat?

Fans getting all big headed now that UM is at the top are the first to go ape shit if we fall. I see no need to talk shit, especially when the team sucks. That’s like picking on the running ability of someone on crutches. What do you do if you lose a race to the team onncrutches after you’ve been cocky as hell at them for just existing?

Rutger is just a term being used for bad play and stats.

you fumble 4 times and have 4 int but complete 4 passes in a game....that’s a Rutger.

It is like being munsoned.

Also, after Michigan grabbed Jabrill and Gary (and 4-5 other kids from NJ) in 2 years, Rutgers fans got pissy about "fencing in the Garden State" to keep the good players in NJ. They are trying to make this a rivalry (which is good for them, but their team is garbage).

Rutger was coined by the guys at Crimson Quarry in 2016.

Other Plans to Make Rutger Great Again

First what you'll notice is that we'd like to change the name of the University, officially. Rutgers may be a well-known name in New Jersey, but for people who matter, the "s" is too much work for a place that just doesn't matter. But we can make it matter.

Because in addition to hiring a great coach and dropping the "s," we'd like to put together a proposal to apply for admission to the Big Ten. Rutger doesn't belong in that conference, but there's no harm in trying. There's really nothing to lose when you try to do something that makes absolutely no sense.
