RESTORE THE (engine) ROAR!!!

The Cade Era begins tonight @8:30pm on ESPN2!! I’m curious to see how Killian and Cade play off each other. I’ve heard Garza has lost some weight, so I wanna see how he handles the faster pace. Livers is out until November but is still able to do light drills. Detroit Basketball!!!

I think part of the reason the NBA gets such a bad rap from “basketball fans” is honestly the players are almost too good. In high school you see one guy and you’re like “wow he is incredible” and he maybe turns out to just be a D2 player. College is full of those players you saw maybe one or two of at high school games, and then there will be maybe 1-2 of them on the court that really stand out. Then there is the NBA which are teams full of those 1 or 2 wow players you see in college all playing together and against each other.

How unbelievably good at basketball you have to be or unbelievably gifted physically (like being 7’) to be an NBA player can’t be understated.

Gotta be one of the most promising young cores in the NBA.

Not expecting much this year from them, but one more high draft pick may put this team on young 2007-09 OKC Thunder trajectory.

I've always found Garza to be annoying as the enemy, but I read an article, I believe in the Detroit News, about how he lost weight and knows he really needs to work on his mobility to play D in the NBA. I was pretty meh about them drafting him, but maybe he can play the 4 in the NBA?

Honestly, he'll never be an excellent NBA defender, but that doesn't matter.

Garza is the type of guy you bring off the bench, have him guard the other team's 2nd center so he won't have to work too hard on that end of the floor, and let him score.

I was ecstatic for this pick. You aren't just the best player in the Big Ten for no reason- I think he's going to be a great NBA player.

This Houston v Cleveland game has been pretty interesting.  Josh Christopher plays for the Rockets. Kid doesn't lack confidence.

Both of these teams, especially Houston could be very good in a few years

Three first round draft picks got me to check the box score after every game last year. Now Cade and Garza have me watching summer league basketball. I gotta say it’s nice to be excited about the Pistons again.

I saw restore the roar so I thought Lions -- then I wondered if maybe it was a car restoration post because of the weird insertion of "engine". Then I clicked it and you said the Cade era begins so I'm thinking McNamara, although that wouldn't make any sense. Absolutely no idea who Kilian is so at this point I'm totally lost. If you hadn't mentioned Livers I'm not entire sure I ever would have understood this post.
