As you all know first prize is a Cadillac El Dorado. Anyone wanna see second prize? Second prize is a set of steak knives. Third prize is you're fired. /Put that coffee down...

Why are you insinuating his age is catching up to him? That link you share with Urbz is just him pulling the old coach speak out of his behind. If we asked Harbaugh about a new assitant hire on OSU I'm sure he'd give effusive praise to that coaches ability if they had played against each other etc. He coaches one of the best d-line in the country. Pretty sure this is just an example of new people coming in and also doing well. I'm the staff doesn't care about which recruiter is 1,2, or 3 they care about closing and enroling these student ahletes. In regards to the age question I ask this. Has our defensive line looked like they were coached well or coached poorly?

I'm insinuating his age is catching up to him as an explanatory factor behind his "demotion" to defensive line coach, drop in apparent recruiting ranking, and general All Quiet on the Mattison Swag Front.  Yeah, I get the circumstances behind the nature of his job title change but it could be termed a demotion in so many words.

I think Meyer was moreso speaking truth, having coached over GMatt at UF and enjoyed the fruits of his recruiting labors at that time.

I would tender that they look well coached, don't get me wrong... and I think we all know the difference coaching makes seeing the same/similar talent produce vastly different results under previous HC's.

Highlights from the linked thread (which I recommend if you're a morbidly curious person): - Speculation on a future presidential run for one Dave Brandon (!) - Genuine enthusiasm for Al Borges - Incredibly detailed speculation on WVU athletic department mismanagement and general fuckery
