OT: worst actor or actress to ruin a role or movie.
You do realize that I wrote about the MI intellectual property and never mentioned the show, right?
MI wasn't a standard adventure romp with a central hero like the movies; it was more like a heist movie, only with more interesting and diverse targets. It didn't rely on the tired tactic of having an IMF traitor in every story; it used a lot more originality and acting ability.

Top Gun had a great score and some great visuals, but the plot, dialogue, and acting were ludicrous.
With all the remakes of classic movies getting made these days, I wonder that someone hasn't remade this dog.

Jonah Hill. Everything. That is all.
...and raise a Seth Rogan. +1 for the Jonah Hill mention!

I see your point, but I counterpoint you with: Pacific Rim.
And no neg from me - it's like, your opinion man.
League of Their Own- again, well cast for that role...even Madonna wasn't completely horrible in that (but anything else short of Desperately Seeking Susan? Unbelieveably bad....)
The child in the horror movie 'The Babadook' was insufferable. I was hoping 'The Dook' would get him.

Mike Tyson in Ip Man 3
and Sofia as Coppola, but no mention about them both being Coppolas
and I don't think we'll have to worry about him too much is Ben Stiller. My God, his old man, Jerry, probably has anothe sitcom left in him.
Dane Cook in anything except Mr. Brooks because he got offed. I liked his "appearance" on Family Guy though...
Anchorman, but in anything else he's insufferable.

Cannot stand any of her movies.
Great body in Tomb Raider but it stops there.
and with her fake crappy english accent says "they can't catch us now." Holy dogsh*t, what a crappy actress
and would wholeheartedly agree. Jesse Eisenberg ruined the movie. Awful.
This thread made me think of how author John Irving hated Robin Wiliams as T.S. Garp in George Roy Hill's adaptation of The World According to Garp, then changed his mind (not very long afterwards) and said he was quite good.
Ebert changed his mind on several movies he disliked at first, also, including Unforgiven and Blade Runner...
Williams as Garp was the first thing that came to mind when I saw the topic, but then I thought he really made the movie. I don't think Garp would have translated to a successful movie without WIlliams. Lithgow and the rest wouldn't have played as well without Williams. (I haven't seen the movie or read the book in 25-30 years.)
