It's great because it works both ways.  You sow hard work, you reap victory and glory.  You sow subterfuge, arrogance and entitlement, you reap a 5-7 season, possibly a fan revolt and likely many years of rebuilding.

The "do not be deceived" is just a fancy way of saying "believe what I'm saying is the TRUTH"   Dont be fooled!

I believe this was directed at Tomsula, he backstabbed Harbaugh and Jim wasn't going to forget it.

One year later, the backstabber got some comeuppance bestowed upon him. In a nutshell, it's a big up yours Tomsula, you fucking douche.

Tomsula won't be getting any help from the Harbaugh's or anyone else aligned with them, he dug his own grave.

That was the impression I got as well. There was a lot of talk about Tomsula cozying up to York and angling for the HC job last year. I think Jim felt stabbed in the back by him, and now that Tomsula has gotten the axe, he feels a sense of justice (or Schaudenfreude depending on how you look at it).

This tweet is breaking the internet. I refresh this site, it was at 5K and then refreshed it 3 minutes later and it was up to 6K.

Pretty clear that football intelligentsia sees this as a rather well-placed shot at the Niners. Stewart Mandel tweeted something to the effect of, "Turns out the Citrus Bowl wasn't Harbaugh's final win of the season." So, yeah, winning and breaking the Internet.

Anyone who questioned whether they truly do reap what they sow cannot possibly continue to have doubt after this tweet.

The quote comes Galatians 6. Here is the original text for context (I'm not bringing up religion, just providing where Harbaugh got the quote from):

"Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭6:7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

And I thought the original quote was from BlueTunaTiger in that epic As The Plains Burns thread at tigerdroppings. He even had a post under that title at his late, lamented blog.

One of the greatest internet threads I've ever read--such a shame it got deleted. I can't even find a copy on the wayback machine.

(just kidding about not knowing the source. but i'm not kidding about the greatness of that thread.)

He could be fighting back against "deceiving" recruiting including Tight Ends, since we have a few targets left on the board.

School X: "The reason we don't use TE's is because we don't have anyone like you.  We will change our offense when you sign."

Sounds familiar...

Totally agree.  Loyalty is huge to Harbaugh, so having an assistant work against him behind the scenes is a major act of betrayal.

Tomsula was the only one who just got fired.  York and Baalke have yet to fully reap what they deserve...but someday they will.

I didn't attend Michigan and was never particularly a fan of the Wolverines. But as a 49er fan, I quickly became a huge Harbaugh fan. Not even Bill Walsh was able to approach what Harbaugh did at Stanford, and then he immediately continued doing the same thing with the 49ers. When York fired Harbaugh, I renounced my 30 year 49er fandom and began hoping for an 0-16 season, followed by subsequent 0-16 seasons. York is spoiled brat, a pampered moron, and one of the bad guys. I root for the bad guys to lose. The positive that came out of this as a fan was the opportunity, for the first time ever, to follow closely a legendary college football program. This great website has provided me with a great deal of entertainment and information throughout the season, as I watched every game on TV and took great pleasure in the success of Harbaugh and the team. The number of knowledgable fans who live and die with the team's fortunes is truly impressive, and I'll be excited to see the great success that will be coming. We don't see anything like this level of devotion in the Bay Area with Cal and Stanford. The 49ers' loss was Michigan's huge gain. Because I'm no longer a 49er fan, I've loved their season. They're getting what they have coming to them. Harbaugh's tweet was a little bit of icing on the cake.

I am a Michigan native and a U of M alum, but a Bay Area resident.  I would like to thank Jed York, Trent Baalke, and Jim Tomsula for

1. Sending Jim Harbaugh back home; and

2. Bumping the Detroit Lions off the "most dysfunctional NFL franchise" title.

Go Jed!

I'm a cop in San Jose, and I remember going to a call at the home of a young couple who had been the victims of some kind of theft. They were both Michigan alums, and the main theme of their home decor seemed to be the the block "M." They were really nice people, but I looked around at all the Michigan stuff on the walls and wondered if they might be a little crazy. Now I get it.
