Just got back from walleye fishing Saginaw Bay - fish are cleaned, patio fire is stoked, and I'm sipping Buffalo Trace on ice. Have a couple hours of work next week total, getting primed for some serious fuck off time.

Although I managed to do the last few hours of this at home while keeping my kids in check, I just got off a few extra hours of storm-related work and conference calls - we still have more than 100,000 out in our territory, and I'll be at work all weekend most likely. For the moment, however, I am off the clock and with my kids watching baseball as they wind down.

Just left Wolverine tap room, where I had a large and much-needed Drag Me To Helles. My favorite thing they brew there. It's a maibock, and they normally are out of it by now. But they've expanded a bit recently. I'm on a schedule tonight, so I only had the one. But I brought a growler home with me.
Can't drink toooo much tonight. Need to save my liver for German Park tomorrow.
