OT: Fidel Castro, known buckeye fan, dead
Fine by me. Everyone knows he was a buckeye fan.

As a Cuban, my family is pretty happy that he's gone. I hate that some world leaders are praising him for what he did and his "resistance" of America, when he did so much harm to Cubans.

So, basically, you have no clue. OK.

those were the result of about 6 seconds of google work. just for fun, here's another 6 seconds worth where JFK
"Castro is not just another Latin American dictator, a petty tyrant bent merely on personal power and gain. His ambitions extend far beyond his own shores."
and bill clinton
"Fidel Castro had Americans murdered illegally, and that was wrong, too. And I'm proud that we have a blockade against people who kill innocent Americans.
put your head in the sand all you want. castro was an evil, genocidal man. the fact that he overthrew someone else who was evil doesn't somehow give him a pass to kill. he crushed cuba economically, destroyed the rights of property owners, and kept the country in the 50's. i have 2 very good friends who have been there and they confirm the incredible proverty and lack of freedom. why do you think people are crossing on makeshift boats to get to florida, because cuba is such a swell place and fidel and his brother made it so wonderful? and just out of curiousity, what would constitute 'proof', or are you so emotionally invested that there is nothing that can turn you from a belief once held?
