That was awesome but regarding winning something, Darren McCarty's sick inside out move to seal the deal against Philly and end the drought is my 90s Red Wings moment.

I was deployed in the AF at the time at and let's just say for a few hours around the time of that game, mission resources may have been reallocated in a manner to allow viewing of that game from somewhere in Trashcanistan.

I met my wife in May of 1990.

I married her on April 3rd of 1992.

That was 23 years ago today, and she's still my wonderful girl.

(I watched Michigan play in the final four game the day after our wedding, and on Monday I watched Michigan play for the championship from the hotel room in Hawaii where we had our honeymoon.  I have my priorities.)

Watched National Championship Rose Bowl at UM bar in Chicago. Bought 20 shots of tequila when we won. Was left with 3. Drank them then the hottest girl in the world . .. looked like the girl on the Cars record album started talking to me. My thoughts were moving but I had whiskey tequila tongue and couldn't get any words out ... interesting cab ride . . Cried when I got home. Go blue. Very abbreviated story line. Much more happened.

I worked on this account in the 90's. Shot my first commercial for Bud Dry (the campaign before this, and the tag line was "Comes on Strong, Then It's Gone."). David Duchovny was in the spot (before his X-Files days) along with Rebecca Broussard, who, at the time, was having an affair with Jack Nicholson while he was still with Angelica Huston. They ended up having a kid together. I don't know if they ever got married. Yeah, the 90's were fun.

94 is a technically superior game, but I love 93 because it's so easy to exploit this programming glitch to beat the goaltender.  Basically, if you approach one of the corners of the net from across the ice and then deke to the opposite side of the net immediately before shooting, you will score every single time.  To this day, I'll throw this game in and try to score as many goals as possible.  I once scored 106 goals in a game when I put it on 20 minute periods and played as the All Stars West team against San Jose.  It was awesome.  I felt like the tanks at Tiennamen Square.

80s was better than 90s.  Everyone in here said 90s was grunge and hip hop... they must be under 30 to say that.  Hip hop's roots were laid in the 80s.  So leaves like one other genre the 90s gave us.  It's not bad mind you, just not the "best" decade.

The 80s started alternative -- REM for starters.  In addition to the above the 80s gave us new wave, the British invasion, hair bands, techno, all the great post-punk stuff, house, R&B took off in the 80s, not to mention all the sub-genres of pop and rock.

You're crazy. Parachute pants must be on too tight. I'm 38 and the majority of 80's music was garbage. Late 80's was better but not comparable to the 90's. Roots might have been planted at the end of the 80's but grunge and hip hop were all 90's.
