OMG Football Player Snowball Fight

Submitted by DoubleMs on
Just saw Denard get chased down by a dude with a snowball in the South Quad basement. Denard and 2 other guys came into the basement, and Denard says to them 'he's coming, we have to get out of here'. A fourth guy (may have been another player - looked kind of like Roh perhaps?) comes running in with a snowball. Denard and Co. book it through the opposite door, and he chases, and then books it back the other direction 30 seconds later without a snowball. No reports as to whether or not he scored a hit. [Edit: was told to make the name more exciting.]

My friend is studying in SQ right now and just informed me he saw DeathRoh chase Shoelace through the SQuad basement wielding about 3 snowballs... apparently it is on!
Good job on Roh.

to believe that the defense would fall behind a qb draw? that there was blown coverage and the qb was able to escape untouched? i wouldn't be surprised if robinson scored immediately after this incident.

extra denard v roh chase drill practice, a snowball FIGHT in the dorms...this has bad publicity all over it. on a related note, the police blocked off hill/state because a bus got stuck and theres a snowball fight off of the roof of quickie burger...epic night

Roh has family in Michigan. Edit: I guess this doesn't guarantee he's seen snow. But if he ever visited Michigan in the winter months I'm sure snow would have been on the ground.

I remember reading a story about Denard coming up for his official visit last year, and it was the first time he ever had seen snow. I believe at the end of the article it said that he liked it so much that he actually tried to bring a bag of snow back to Florida with him

Hopefully it was less than 3.5 ounces or TSA would have bagged him for carrying an unknown liquid. Can you imagine the Freep article? "U of M commit attempts to hijack airplane with dangerous dihydrogen monoxide." It would have talked about how Dantonio only recruits good kids who get in normal roughhousing trouble.

...West Quad vs. South Quad snowball fight on for tomorrow? I remember them well in 88-89 and 89-90. South Quad usually smokes West, but in 89-90 West had the baseball players and you can guess how that turned out.

It got shut down officially, but a few friends of mine on the frisbee team ran it anyway. The following year, students tried to bring it back, but people wore underwear so as not to get cited by DPS. It was pretty lame, sadly.

There was an unofficial one tonight. West Quad was winning until the football players went inside. There will probably be a bigger one when it snows more. Players I noticed out there: Will Campbell (center of attention and leader of West Quad (can't throw though)) Fitz Toussaint (He started rapping for somebody that was videotaping...he was pretty good) Cam Gordon Thomas Gordon Denard Robinson (2nd in command after Big Will. This one girl was throwing snowballs at him, so he threw one back and hit her. She got pretty angry and grabbed his leg. It was kinda weird haha) JT Turner Jeremy Gallon

should practice their passing skills by nailing a moving Squaddy ;) meanwhile, SQuad students should start learning how to dodge, because when the WQ/SQ snowball fight rolls around...well, you know
