I love the tweet from Royce Young:

"I feel like Mitch McGary only wants to score so he has a reason to high five all his teammates."

Him healthy and playing like us Michigan fans know he can. At the same time damn is it depressing thinking he could still be in the maize and blue. He will always represent though

On the other hand, teams like Kentucky, osu, msu, duke, etc would be pretty good then too. I'm just happy that he was drafted in the first round, is thriving on a competitive team, is part of a great organization, has an ideal role on the team (hustling, rebounding and can grow into larger offensive responsibilities) playing with Durant and Westbrook. Honestly, I'm not sure anything could have really worked out better for him NBA wise even if he would have come back.

Kentucky could currently have Anthony Davis, Michael Kidd Gilchrist, marquis Teague, nerlens Noel, Julius randle, James young, in addition to current players like Karl towns, Willey cauley stein, devin booker, trey lyles, and dakari Johnson (that I can think off). It would have been a great game to see.

Always will feel like we barely got a glimpse of Mitch here.  His freshman year he really didnt turn it on until the last 1.25 months.  Then he commes in sophomore year and we all had high expectations of him and GR3 leading the team and his injury issues stalled him immediately to be far less than 100%.  Then he gone - thanks to the NCAA.

Ugh.

I was excited to see Mitch play in real life tonight, and I wasn't disappointed! I feel like NBA games look so much different in person, and it was fun to watch Mitch interact with his NBA teammates, on and off the floor. You could tell that his new teammates really like him, and for good reason. He is a difference maker for them. He made an impact as soon as he entered the game, and his teammates were looking for him, especially on the pick and roll. I felt the most interesting observation of the night was that, as it became crunch time, Mitch was on the floor with the starters. He was their best post option. He truly stood out as one of the best players on the floor tonight, not just because of good numbers, but because he does all of the little things. He is fun to watch, and might end up being the best NBA player from the 2012-2013 team, if he can stay healthy. Fun to watch!

Just wait til Mitch has his legs under him, and gets in better shape. The fucking kid is so stron already, if he stays healthy he could be a legit beast!

but it'll always be sad to me that we probably got less than 10 good, uninjured games out of Mitch in his time here. What a talent. I'll always wonder how far last year's team (or even this year's team) could've been with him here
