Michigan makes Jalen Wilson's top 6

Submitted by Dan84 on

Elite 2019 SF prospect from TX, ranked #28 in 247's composite rankings. Michigan has one of the three Crystal Ball picks so far. Other finalists are Baylor, Kansas, Marquette, Oklahoma State, and UCLA. He is supposed to be visiting this coming weekend, according to reporting from late last month.

I believe if he stays at the #28 national prospect he would be a 5 star. 247 gives 5 stars to the top 30, one for each 1st round NBA draft pick. Unless that is just for football.

EDIT: I am wrong, the 2018 class only had 27 5 stars, my bad.

Some good recruiting news I love it! Even if he can’t get a top 10 recruit getting a bunch of 4 stars is the next best thing. Michigan basketball is a healthy program. HAIL!

Probably only going to have 2-3 spots depending on if Matthews and/or Poole delcare for the draft, but we're going after almost exclusively top 50 guys and I've been super impressed by everyone we've offered so far, so I'm excited

I have this recurring dream where all the 5 star Jalens get together and decide to honor their namesake by attending Michigan. Jordan Poole is named an honorary member of the Fab Jalens because that much swag cannot be denied.

Does anyone else think that Michigan's improved basketball recruiting might have something to do with the NCAA and FBI investigations into the all the agent and shoe company corruption?  With Michigan doing so well this past year, along with so many dirtbags being relegated to their rightful holes in the ground, it might just be the perfect nexus to propel Michigan to recruiting heights that we never thought possible.  Go Blue!

and the 14th best class in 2013. We're not even at the peak of Beilein's tenure right now.

The 11th ranked class of 2018 merely got us back to those levels.  And that's plenty good enough for me.  I like being in that range where you're getting a lot of 4 stars that aren't gonna be one-and-done's but are likely to be excellent 3-4 year players.  It's the Beilein sweet spot.

Really excited to see coach B go for lots of elite kids after a national championship run. This is something I think he missed out on last run. Go Blue!

Were actually leading the crystal ball for a Top 30 recruit. Thats pretty cool

He's ONE spot removed from being a 5 star at #28. Keion Brooks at #27 is the last 5 star who we are also going after.
