Michigan Basketball Gameday Posbang!

Submitted by UMFanatic96 on March 22nd, 2021 at 8:38 AM

It's gameday again! Let's get to the Sweet 16 and send those cheating a-holes home. There wouldn't be many things better than the B1G crumbling, but Michigan holding their own.

Plus, you never know....if they can get to next Sunday maybe Livers can give it a go.

Go Blue! Beat LSU!

On the one hand, I see all these good teams dropping and I see the waters parting

On the other hand, we’re also one of those “good teams” and I feel like we’re in danger

'Tis a great day to ass-blast cheaters back into oblivion.  And, after the win, I hope somebody says something about cheaters having departed the tournament via karma, or whatnot...

Warde, looking at you, buddy!

My response when people complain about the B1G being overrated in basketball (every year) is below.  What irony would it be if a depleted Michigan were ultimately the last man standing at the end of all of this.

you've probably seen this posted last few days, but MICHIGAN now has more tourney wins than any other program since 2013 with 19 victories. Several teams tied at 18 (Duke, Kentucky, etc)

Get our big the ball early, look for Wagner off that screen / curl action, and tell Mike Smith this isn’t the Ivy League and he doesn’t need to chick up 3s early in the shot clock or go 1 on 3 in the paint only to get swatted - move the ball and LETS GO!

I predict a big game for Chaundee. He's going to be up to the challenge to play with these fast guards, and he will be in double digits today.

If we can get quality minutes out of Williams and Zeb, we should be good.

Also, who is our rooting interest? I know FSU on paper is a more talented team, but Colorado looked mighty impressive and the Pac-12 is doing well.

I'd like to see an official evening games thread PINNED to the board.  Was going to comment on games last night and there wasn't a thread on the front page.  Moms do your job!!

LSU presents some physical challenges in the backcourt, but the deciding factor will be a refereeing atrocity in LSU’s favor. LSU will be allowed to outright assault Hunter with impunity, while he will be whistled for just raising an eyebrow at LSU players.

Speaking of LSU and Will Wade: I just learned this morning that NCAA President Mark Emmert's daughter is married to the stepson of LSU AD Scott Woodward. Perhaps that explains the mind-boggling lack of action taken by the NCAA in response to the brazen rules violations by Wade.

I had the same thoughts. They don't have anyone that can match up with Hunter, so their strategy will be to try to get him in foul trouble. Get ready for them to flop whenever he backs people into the lane, goes strong to the basket, blocks out, or sets a pick. I just hope the refs don't fall for it.

The script has been written - whether it was winning for Booby Miles in Friday Night Lights, or for Gary Bertier in Remember the Titans.  Let's win for that injured mate.  #ForLoveofIsaiah

Franz will be the key on offense. He'll need no less than a dozen or more points. Chaundee will need to come off the bench and score as well. Him getting 10 or so points is a must.

Yes, we'll need a more consistent offense with very minor scoring droughts.

Good luck to our guys-Go Blue!
