YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAWWWWWWWWWWWWW.

Starting our 2011 national championship defense off with a blockbuster.

Home and home would be much cooler, but this will still be a massive prime-time game, huge exposure for recruiting (as much as we don't like to think we've taken a hit these last two years), and it'll just be a damn good time invading Texas with the rest of our fans.

Actually, I really enjoyed the city of Dallas when I was there.  I've been looking for an excuse to go back, and now I have one.

On my recommendation list:

-Dallas World Aquarium

-Sixth Floor Museum

exactly. I have never been to Dallas. It sounds fun. Maybe I could really make a road trip of it by going south to Austin and then loop over to New Orleans and back north through Mississippi to Memphis and then back home.

1). Congrats to Brian for having this back in August.

2). at Dallas against Bama, at Notre Dame, at Nebraska, at the Horseshoe.  Wow.  And only six home games for the first time in forever.

Looks like it'll be two MAC-rifices to fill out the schedule, or one and a FCS team.  Maybe we can get Southern or Grambling or Florida A&M, provided they bring the band.  If we're going to play FCS teams, make them have awesome bands.  UMass did very well this year, Delaware State last year.  That should be the rule.

1. A lot of media sources who said "not so fast" owe Brian an apology. Or a future STFU.

<br>2. We better get the defense better fast for next year. Because that title run everyone is planning in 2012 isn't going to happen with that schedule. It may be the toughest of all time, if you account for home and road variance.

Glad to see UM scheduling a good out of conf tilt.  I miss the days of seeing FSU, UCLA, Virginia, etc. Just hope we get some good ones at the Big House

kind of a big deal

I'm excited about adding Bama to the schedule, but 2012 is shaping up to be a BRUTAL schedule:

Sept. 1 vs. Alabama (Arlington, Texas)
Sept. 22    at Notre Dame
Oct. 6 at Purdue
Oct. 13 Illinois
Oct. 20 Michigan State
Oct. 27 at Nebraska
Nov. 3 at Minnesota
Nov. 10 Northwestern
Nov. 17 Iowa
Nov. 24 at Ohio State

Hope Michigan can figure out how to play Defense by 2012 or it will be a painful season.

...Championship Game and that'll be one hell of a strength of schedule figure.  I vote for Buffalo and Louisiana-Monroe to round things out.

Talking solely from a selfish perspective, I love the idea that it's a 20 minute drive to see Michigan.  Brian, feel free to stay with me if you need a place to crash.

After the 2011 schedule. 8 home games including Nebraska and OSU at home. I predict we come into the Alabama game as the more fearsome team although Alabama's D should be nice. Remember they will not have Ingram, Jones, Richardson, McElroy or even Marquis Maze (he would have look nice as a slot ninja for Rich Rod)

is brutal but I loves me some good, old-school, traditional power clashes. I'm assuming ticket allotment will be equal to both schools since it's on a "neutral" field but it's basically going to be a 'Bama home game. Load up the cars boys, we be road trippin'.

Yes, but what was great was being able to take a leak and get a couple of beers during the TV timeouts.  You couldn't go ten feet without running into a bathroom or a beer stand.   Best Michigan bowl game ever...

Thanks to Brian's heads up in August.  I have been angling on getting tickets for that game already.  Already booked a business meeting in Dallas for that Friday.  Only have 22.5 months to go.....

Saint Arnold Beer - Fancy Lawnmower (don't laught.  Terrible name, very good Kolsch)

Also their Elissa IPA and Oktoberfest were very good.

They were the best of what Texas had to offer at the Great American Beer Festival.

EDIT:  Actually a Houston brewery.

How do you think tickets for this game will work?  Will season ticket holders get first priority over the general public?   I wonder what these tickets will be going for on stubhub.  Im definately going no matter what
