woah woah woah...there is a SECOND page. So you're telling me I have lived my entire MGoBlog life only on the first page. Shit. I bet there was a bunch of good material on those pages I never got to read. Maybe 10 different "fire rich rod" threads or 10 other "keep rich rod" threads...I am now extremely heartbroken

Outside looking in I was always with the idea that Michigan has a well rounded athletic winning tradition. Softball, football, hockey, lacrosse, and so on. Congrats to Men's Soccer!

Congrats!  Great play by Meram and the Saads, solid defense.  Penn Schtate spent the whole game whining for penalties.  Also I thought vevuzelas were banned from the big ten.  It was extra sweet to see them throttle PSU in happy valley.  At least one team did this year.  Go Blue!

Great victory yesterday for Wolverines Men's Soccer, and best of luck to the team in the NCAA tournament.

Although his name has been removed from the official athletics website roster, would Justin Meram be eligible to kick for Michigan's other football team in the bowl game if he and the coaches chose to add him to the roster?

While kicking indoors without wearing pads and a helmet, and not using a snapper or holder or facing any opposition, never acts as a good indication of how well a kicker will perform in actual game conditions, there is some evidence that Justin Meram can kick a football reasonably well in ideal conditions.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=haRvdLkF0b0

Is there word that this is actually in consideration from all parties? Because that would be swell. Just swell.

The best part I see about this kid, aside from his dirty moves in the soccer game to bring a 2nd fall B10 title to Michigan (Field Hockey), he gets the ball up right away. His kicks get high, and they get up fast. This is Broekhueizin's main issue, whenever the kick is over 30 yards he tends to just bury it into the line, not getting any height. Meram, your jersey is ready when you are.

There can only be one "First to Win the Big Ten Tourney"  and it was you.

What this can do for our program has yet to be written, but you have set a presidence that should take us to the next level.

Congratulations to one an all!

Maybe I just don't know anything about soccer, but after watching that video does anyone else question the sportsmanship our team showed? I mean, if Denard did anything like that after a TD, he'd not only be hit with 15, but he'd also get killed by the press. I'm not crazy about all the showboating after the goals, is what I'm trying to say. Either way, congrats on the b10 championship, that is quite an accomplishment.

My senior year I lived with three guys who played on the club team and were teammates of future coach Steve Burns.   Looking back to those days I recall their frustration in working to help elevate the program from club status.  So it's amazing to see how far this team has come in the relatively short time since achieving varsity status.

Congratulations to Coach Burns and the B10 championship men's soccer team!

My cousins soccer team just won state in division 2 and their star player is going to Michigan next year. Chose them over West Virginia. Got another really solid midfielder who is hoping to walk-on. So the team should be pretty solid next year too.
