Lions have company in Bolivia/ NYE Drinking thread

Brethren, I am an alcoholic/Lions fan (probably the same thing) and I am happy the Browns have joined us in Bolivia. We’re down at the Sheraton by Metro and I’m starting with Ciroc. What’s up for tonight ?

Right now SB Nation shows the Lions picking 19th. The Bills and Chargers are 8-7 and still playing. Not sure if the Lions move ahead of them if those teams win. If the Lions had lost today they could have picked anywhere from 15th to 18th.

The Lions pick is good enough to find a solid RB, or any other spot they chose to fill. I think there are talented RBs to be found in the early rounds. I think we need an OL, perhaps a center. Stafford was sacked way too often this year and while the running game improved perhaps the Lions can kill two birds with one stone and get a guy who can pass protect and run block. We also need to pick up talent via free agency.

We can do this.

If 0-16 gets that felonious, idiotic Haslam to stop interfering with professionals' best efforts to manage the franchise, I'm all for it. The root cause is incompetent trust fund baby management since the Randy Lerner era, and the only solution is getting the owner to stop pretending they are the Jerry Jones of Northeast Ohio.

They don't meet your criteria, but I'm thinking Browns<Browns and Senators< Lions, which would make them the worst pair.

if you don't count the war years when the Browns were good because they were so bad their best players were 4-F and didn't have to leave for the war, they went about three decades without a winning record and they never made a championship appearance. (At least Detroit and Cleveland have past glory to think back on.) And '39 was the worst live-ball AL team until the Tigers.

And, again not counting the war years, the Senators were bottom half of the league every year from 1936 until they moved. The Lions have never had a streak of losing seasons longer than seven.

Lions fans should rejoice. This Browns team was 0-16 this year, but 1-31 over the last two years. The Browns are the worst team in NFL history given that. The Lions are totally off the hook now.

I've been drinking wine and beer all day and now it is time to hit the hard stuff before I finish the night with campaign! No since driving around while all sloshed up. Don't drive drunk folks, if you head out to parties.

This useless Lions win will probably keep Caldwell's job. Lets toast to mediocrity! The Fords think it is great having a team around .500 and out of the playoffs. We'll sit back watch Caldwell crash and burn in the next few years, soon he will be 2-10, just like his final year at Indianapolis.

No, I did not waste my time watching the game Today.

I have a lovely bottle of Woodford Reserve that I'm working on. Whatever you're drinking, wherever you go, PLEASE don't drive drunk. Uber rates are insane tonight, but they're one hell of a lot cheeper than the consequences that arise from drunk driving. Be safe, and GO BLUE!
