Juwan segment on today's Dan Patrick Show
I checked the board and didn't see it posted, but Juwan had a spot on the Dan Patrick Show this morning.
https://danpatrick.com/2021/03/17/juwan-howard-talks-about-his-journey-back-to-michigan/
Synopsis taken from the website: "The Michigan coach talks about his transition from the NBA to college coaching and looks back at the Fab Five team and how that group almost didn’t come together in Ann Arbor"
Dan Patrick is usually my go-to for national sportscasters; I enjoy his show and crew quite a bit.
Great interview! Seems like juwan was really kicking back and having fun! Like to see that side!
Interesting interview but damn, I wish he had asked him more about the team and the tournament.
Well, what would he really have said other than the standard “We’ll be ready” and such? He’s not going to give anything away.
Thanks for sharing the link. When Howard was announced as head coach my initial reaction was disappointment that they went for a name rather than a coach. It took less than a season to know that they hired not only one of the best coaches, but one of the finest men around. Last season, when I saw him grab a towel during a time out and mop water off the floor I knew we had someone special. A true leader of men.

+1 for keeping it real.
Two months of May ago, this board was on fire, and not in a good way, when Howard was announced as the coach.
On fire? I don't know about that. Here's the post introducing him as our coach.

Pretty convenient you cite one post, the hello post, and ignored the multiple posts with:
- JH cannot recruit
- JH is a reach because Warde fucked up the search
- Shaka Smart should be the candidate (if Warde wasn't an idiot that is)
- JH has never been a head coach
- What does the NBA have to do with college ball
Not to mention all the racist shit about JH is only getting hired because he is Black/quota system.
Troll on!
this has to be a troll
This has to be a revisionist historian.
Day #1 fan of the hire.
Great interview. I see why Juwan is such a good recruiter. He is a great conversationalist and has plenty of stories and experience. We’re lucky to have him.
He comes across as someone who has such a deep and comfortable knowledge of the game of basketball, from the streets to NCAA, to G-League, to NBA, to Hall of Fame. He seems to know everyone. He came across and so comfortable and sincere about his life, coaching, and the game. I can't imagine a recruit or his parents talking to Juwan and not feeling that Michigan would be exciting and safe for college and prep for the future.

Hahaha Bruce Pearl was a scumbag back in 1990! How the fuck has that guy not been permanently banned from CBB?
I had no idea basically the reason Juwan ended up at Michigan was because of Bruce Pearl. Amazing.
He belongs at Michigan. Forever.
This is one of the best coach interviews I've heard in a long time. Almost all unique questions and answers.
That's a great, fun interview. This man will be the best recruiter in college basketball, if he is not already. We are in good hands.
Also, "Happy Dan Patrick's Day" LOL
