Jameis Winston to Sit Entire Game vs Clemson
Looks like FSU has either gotten this right or bowed to media pressure or both. Either way we won't see Mr. Winston vs Clemson on saturday.

What's surprising to me is that FSU did this. With an interim president.....

SBNation has some more here - LINK
Supposedly, there are a couple reports that FSU expanded the suspension to the entire game after finding some problems with Wintson's account of his latest lapse in judgment, if you will. Tomahawk Nation said they could confirm that was the reason, but they haven't been able to find out what the actual lie might have been.

What would Bo do? He'd be gone.

Yet David Brandon is continually excoriated because he supposedly ignores public opinion. Interesting.
The assertion that since racists didn't want Hank Aaron to break Ruth's record, no institutions should listen to the "mob" is an interesting guide for making decisions.

I'm pretty amazed. Apparently FSU either (a) is taking this very seriously, or (b) doesn't really think much of Clemson.

Clemson did lose a lot of talent in the off season and already lost to a good, but not great Georgia team.

He is several roads down the wrong path and just doesn't seem to get it. At some point there is no turning around.

As the father of a 20 year old college student, I find the star QB yelling what he did in the company of many young ladies creates an intimidating environment. This needs to be punished!

Title IX obligations to create safe learning environments on campus are being actively enforced by the feds right now. Flouting those obligations results in students' losing the ability to receive federal grants to attend the school. There is a lot more money at stake here than what the football program brings in.
See, e.g., http://hr.fsu.edu/PDF/Forms/TitleIXStatement.pdf --at my current institution, faculty are required by law to report any information about any incident of harassment or assault to a Title IX coordinator. Likewise, any faculty member at FSU who hears about the Winston incident is required by law to report it, and FSU is obligated to investigate and act on reports. This is about a lot more than public pressure.

I am also full-time university faculty, albeit at the instructor level. I teach, among other classes, human sexual behavior. It is not uncommon for students to mention student misconduct during class discussions. I have had to report student athletes for such behavior. The university takes this very seriously!

Would have been a female cheerleader wearing a 9 inch strap on and f**king Jameis right in his keester. That would teach him to behave!

Normal meaning non-star athlete performed this sad act they would have been either arrested or taken to a psychiatric facility to examine sanity.

Sounds like the kid lied, the school got pissed when they investigated it, and bumped it up. What a stupid incident for this kid, in a pile of stupid incidents.
Also love how Winston called it a "mistake" in the presser, then immediately backtracked and said it wasn't a mistake.

...it's hard to keep track of it all.
