HTTV Chicago Event? Need help picking a spot
It's look like POSSIBLY Saturday the 21st for when I can meet the printer to pick up the print copies of HTTV. Any Chicagoans own/want to suggest a spot we could meet up/let the Chicago people come pick up their books? Ideally:
- NOT INDOORS. I don't want to risk adding to the pandemic.
- Preferably someplace that will let us leave copies for Chicagoans to pick them up.
- Access to beers. Not a drive-killer, but it would be nice to be able to socialize.
I'm imagining a parking lot or a beer garden sort of place, close to the highway since the printer's coming from Minnesota and I'm coming from Metro Detroit.

Which one? I live in West Town and there are few breweries really close by, wondering if you're at one of those.

Eater has a good list of breweries with outdoor seating and beer gardens. I cannot attest to their physical spaces, but Dovetail and Half Acre both make great beer.

The two times I've stopped there i've been hungover af. The combined smell of all the fast food places did not do wonders for my uneasy stomach

(Wendy's is the only fast food I eat now, and only when I'm traveling. Just as eating standing up has no effect on weight, eating fast food on the road has no effect on health.)

What about Panera or Chick-Fil-A or Culvers? But in general I agree with you. No Burger King, McDonalds, KFC, White Castle, Taco Bell, Dunkin', for me.

So, will that be on I-90 in the city proper or I-294 which is the easier way around? Lake Forest Oasis is doable for me. Rosemont would work, too. Plenty of places just off I-294 and accessible by the Blue Line.
