Harbaugh to Spend Night at Quinn Nordin's House

“Under the exact rules, he’s going to be at my house at 12:01 he said. That’s when it’s legal for him to be at my house,” Nordin said. “He said we can watch a movie, see how well we gel and he said he would sleep over after that.

“I was in tears laughing when he said that. He said the next day, if my parents didn’t want me to miss school, he would go to every class with me and go to lunch with me. I was laughing so hard.”

For those that are saying that this is weird, the entire idea of recruiting natrually leads to weirdness. Grown men trying to convince teenage boys to come to a particular school is weird. I want a coach who is going to push the limits and fight for every advantaged that we can get.

“He told me if I had a 6-foot-3 inch piece of carpet for him to sleep on, that would be enough. I said we have guest rooms, and he said ‘tell you what, I’ll just sleep on the floor in your room.’ I said ‘Coach, I have Penn State stuff all over my walls.’ He said, ‘tell you what, I can help you take it down.’"

This is awesome, Jim never ceases to amaze me with what he does next.

Also, I think Andrew David might transfer. I seriously do not think we have room on the 2016 team for 3 scholarship kickers. I havent heard a single thing about David since he got here, and now we are likely bringing in the #1 Kicker in the country the next year, that does not spell good things for Andrew David's time at UM.

I am trying to imagine the second part of that, having Harbaugh go to class with him the next day. I have this image of him taking a seat quietly in the back of the room during each period, and by the end of the day, an entire high school - football or not - may end up committing to the University Of Michigan. It seems like the sort of thing Jim Harbaugh might be able to manage.

I'm assuming (hoping) the sleeping over part was in a joking way. I mean, we laughed at Brady Hoke for passing out on the couch, this is more weird than that.

ha what m recruit (especially michigan natives) wouldnt want to roll into homeroom with harbaugh or watch him throw back milk and sloppy joes at the lunch table?   what a loon.

recruiting is by nature creepy as hell and any such slumber party would be odd - but harbaughs one of the rare coaches just odd enough and crazy enough to potentially pull it off without parents involving the police

Next thing you know, the NCAA will be adding a rule to its plethora of rules to differentiate the "In Home Visit" from the "In Home Sleepover." Or they'll just call it the "In Home Harbaugh," which will be allowed only once per recruit and only 5 total per season.
