Harbaugh Donating His Bonuses back to Ath Dept to restore salaries
On the day that Brian Kelly ditched the inferior facilities and actual academic standards of Notre Dame and walked out on a possible college playoff team for $95 million and a cooperative admissions department, we learned that Jim Harbaugh is donating every cent of bonus he receives (could be as high as $3 million) back to the Michigan Athletic Department to restore the salaries of department employees whose salaries were cut due to COVID driven revenue shortfalls.
Forget the great coaching job he did this year, reinventing himself and his staff. This man is the embodiment of the Michigan Man, and the players who learn life lessons from him are very fortunate.
Hail to the Victor Valiant!

Again??? He is a generous man...

This is BIG news! Also, I heard that Lincoln Riley might not be taking the LSU job afterall. Can anyone confirm?

Riley isn't going anywhere. He's going to ride it out at OU with Rattler.

Man, if I'm a guy like Jack Swarbrick, I gotta be praising Touchdown Jesus I've got a coach like Brian Kelly who wouldn't even THINK about doing this to a famed program like Notre Dame. Riley may be OU for now, but we'll see if he doesn't get a wandering eye down the road.

I thought he was rumored to be going to USC

Damn. Twice in 2 days???

Mel Tucker gave him some cash from his second contract.

Keith Jackson?
November 30th, 2021 at 7:41 PM ^
I'm a little concerned we haven't heard much from him, but I'm guessing he's just being cautious due to COVID, right? RIGHT?!?!
November 30th, 2021 at 7:58 PM ^
Any hear how that trip to the moon ended up?
November 30th, 2021 at 7:29 PM ^
No shit??? That’s amazing!!!
November 30th, 2021 at 7:31 PM ^
Holy shit, people. Don't feel compelled to start a new thread just because you can.
November 30th, 2021 at 7:43 PM ^
Michigan sucks... The board loses its mind.
Michigan loses a recruit... The board loses its mind.
Michigan shitcans OSU... The board loses its mind.
Wait, should I have started a thread with these random musings?
November 30th, 2021 at 7:32 PM ^
Never been happier to be wrong about anything.
November 30th, 2021 at 7:32 PM ^
To be fair every snowflake has been made into a thread so things fly off the board. This is honestly the first I've heard about this and I've been on and off all day.
November 30th, 2021 at 7:42 PM ^
This wasn’t just a thread yesterday or last night or whenever though, I think it’s also been posted as a reply at least once in every single thread about Riley & Kelly’s new salaries…I’d honestly rather see repeat threads like this than all the damn snowflake threads that are being made about the same dang things…
November 30th, 2021 at 7:32 PM ^
Sigh.
November 30th, 2021 at 7:34 PM ^
I wonder if Jimmy Lake, head coach of the Washington Huskies, will follow suit.
November 30th, 2021 at 7:35 PM ^
I'm here! I'm here!
drumroll..............
TY WILLINGHAM!!

My guy Ty!
November 30th, 2021 at 7:52 PM ^
I have Ty pegged for the Notre Dame job.
November 30th, 2021 at 7:38 PM ^
Overtaking ASS!
November 30th, 2021 at 7:39 PM ^
Wow, I admire his generosity, but at this rate Coach Harbaugh might have to take on a greeters job at Meijer just to make ends meet!
November 30th, 2021 at 7:49 PM ^
I guess the OP and myself are the last two people here to have heard about this. I just searched through board posts twice going back two pages and can't find it. So in all likelihood the first time it was posted is in the running for worst thread title of the year.
I mean out of the hundred or so threads started today alone this is one of the few that deserves its own thread.
November 30th, 2021 at 8:07 PM ^
Your final sentence encapsulates why I'm leaving it up on the board while taking down a few other threads soon.
But not only that. Like what you alluded to about the first one from yesterday already being buried, this is subject matter that deserves a repeat appearance. Word should be spread far and wide of his generosity.
November 30th, 2021 at 8:14 PM ^
Rob, you are the hero we deserve.
November 30th, 2021 at 8:35 PM ^
I've been on here a lot the past few days, I hadn't seen it either, other than a passing comment in another thread.
November 30th, 2021 at 7:43 PM ^
Jim was in line at the soup kitchen. Damn , stop giving all your money away.
November 30th, 2021 at 7:50 PM ^
So nice had to post twice
November 30th, 2021 at 8:30 PM ^
Jim Harbaugh is a good coach and a good man.
November 30th, 2021 at 9:03 PM ^
God, I have never seen a forum so obsessed with if threads are good or bad. If you think it's so bad just don't bump it.
November 30th, 2021 at 9:04 PM ^
Hopefully he gives some of that cash to his staff as incentive to keep them around. Others suitors have started circling the fort, trying to break up our happy home.
November 30th, 2021 at 9:05 PM ^
...just scroll through a page or two.
November 30th, 2021 at 9:17 PM ^
Why didn’t the Michigan athletic department do this? Are they broke? LOL
November 30th, 2021 at 10:45 PM ^
Just so that everyone who missed the original thread from yesterday has an opportunity to read it:
https://mgoblog.com/mgoboard/other-coaches-are-leaving-our-coach-gives-back?page=1#new
But as I posted earlier, I'm keeping this on the MGoBoard. This is one of those rare things worthy of a repeat thread.
