Harbaugh's Broken Helmet Collection
In a recent interview with Brad Galli, Harbaugh and Galli toured Harbaugh's office. During the tour, Harbaugh showed off a collection of broken helmets gifted to him by current and former players. The most recent addition is from Michael Barrett following this year's Maryland game. In the midst of all the national negativity surrounding Harbaugh & UM, it's cool to see a local story displaying Harbaugh's passion for the game. Dude is a rare breed!

detroit freep: Harbaugh doesn't give a shit about player safety.

Barrett is a fucking animal. Hitting someone so hard that you cave in your face mask is next level impressive

I love this!!
When I played back in high school I broke one of the welds on my face mask and had to switch it out in the middle of a game. My coach saved it until the end of the year banquet and gave it to me as an award. I still have it in my basement. That's Football....

List of ALL his roles and vocations on and off the team with the final one being:
”Helmet Breaker.”

The Khaleesi tried to add “Denter of Helmets” to her long-winded title but never had a chance.
An epic TV series based on the mythology of Michael Barrett? Yeah, I’d watch that.

My head coach for as long as he wants, to hell with whatever sanctions those pu$$ies throw at us.
Fyi, Webster's word of the year is "authentic." The team has surpassed Ohio because they play with joy and love of the game, just like their coach.

This is actually a pretty cool thing to collect in a way, especially if you're a coach.
I loved that Owen Marecic signed his too.

Side note: Marecic is on his way to become an orthpaedic surgeon at Stanford Med.

I broke my facemask in high school playing Detroit Country Day. Just split it right down the middle and almost scared up my beautifully youthful face. Damn violent sport

Jim’s genuine love of football just seems unparalleled in this day and age, he would have fit in very well with the early men of this sport

You get the feeling that if the financial dynamics changed, and salaries in CFB went back to what they were like in the 70s and 80s, almost all these current coaches would go to the NFL or find another line of work. I'm not sure Harbaugh would. Money to him seems about competition (am I making more than the guys I beat) rather than a self evident goal for him.

Love Harbaugh. He is the Dahmer of collecting football helmets.

If Valhalla is real, Harbaugh will be there as a warrior. Ryan Day will be there as well, but as a beermaid.

I happened across the 2021 B1G championship game on TV last night...
Every time I saw Harbaugh, I wanted to teleport.
"Coach, I'm from the future. Just please trust me...do NOT hire a guy named Connor Stalions"

Mike Barrett brought in to be a Viper in Don Browns defense could have ran, could have said this screwed me over, could have had so many other takes then the one he did. Where he stayed, he endured, he worked and HE and his teammates became CHAMPIONS multiple times. Rare group of men we have been able to watch and cheer for and Mike Barrett is right up there! Go Reach your goals Mike win it all!
