It is going to great when all these naysayers eat their words about UM. Let them talk. I think we are going to surprise some people this year. And I don't know where he gets off saying "The only way this season could be worse? Lose to Western Michigan or Eastern Michigan in the Big House." Maybe EMU I agree. But WMU is a damn good team. And I am sorry but #5 in the country losing to Appy state was worse than either of these.

Seems a little high. I'm more inclined to believe the Feldman list where we backdoor our way into a scrub bowl, presumably at 6-6. Champs sports seems more like a 8-4 type bowl, which is a stretch for any realistic projection. Are the bowls forced to go by record at all, or can they just pick whoever they want? If we make it and they can pick whoever, that would give us a decent chance of being overrated into a higher bowl... which wouldn't be so bad since RR has performed well in bowl games, and our team should improve quite a bit over time. I'm not really offended by the hot or not list; it's fine to say we had a sucky season last year. There was also mention of Michigan at Iowa as an important conference game, which it really isn't (for other teams). Pat Forde on the other hand, is an ass.

I don't think RR would get coach of the year for 9-3. While that would be almost Zookian improvement, people are more likely to blame him for the previous season. 10-2, sure. Not that I'd complain about either one, or 8-4, or 7-5.

Prior to the 2008 season, the Hurricanes left the crumbling Orange Bowl -- their home for seven decades -- for Dolphin Stadium. Because of a recent naming-rights agreement, they'll play this season in a stadium named for a beer owned by singer Jimmy Buffett. It doesn't get much cooler than that.
