End of the UCF -East Carolina Game
If you didn't see it, you need to.
Was lucky enough to flip to it and catch that.
Incredible.
Poor East Carolina fans.

...but point taken.
Ty Law did pretty well for himself after that blown play.

If you look at one of the East Carolina players, #39 was actually unbuckling his helmet while the ball was still in the air.

I've ever seen by ECU. They gave CFU about 30 yards by taking losses when they had the ball. That was pathetic ... Coach should be fired !
Go Blue!

but how dumb are Rece Davis and Jesse Palmer to not realize that step one was going to be an attempt at a sideline throw before the hail mary?
I never understand how you can be witness or a part of that many football games and not recognize something so basic.

That was terrible. ECU taking knees too soon, eschewing field goal attempts, literally giving 10 yards away on 4th down. Everything possible so that UCF could even have that last gasp attempt.
Not a bad year for UCF coming off the Fiesta Bowl season: 9-3 and conference champions again.

Completely unrelated, but in the NBA, THJr scored points (20 pts on 14 shots) in the Knicks loss to Cleveland. He score more than Lebron (19), Kevin Love (11), Amar'e Stoudemire (18) and Melo (9). So that's cool.
It should be noted that Kyrie Irving dropped 37 though.

George "Padded Resume" O'Leary?.
Despite the infamy of O'Leary's hiring at ND, he does have a pretty good record of success as a Head Coach. Although I'm not at all serious about him bering considered for the HC job at Michigan, we could do worse. I just hope---and believe--- we can do better.

Besides being almost 70, O'Leary has a rap sheet an inch deep a mile wide:
* Famously lied about his resume, forcing him to resign on the first day of his job at ND
* Sued for $5 million dollars for the wrongful death of a player who he literally worked to death in practice
* Currently facing a lawsuit from a former assitant coach alleging "that O’Leary used a derogatory word for African-Americans and called the NFL “one big ‘Ru-Ru’ tribe.” The suit also alleges O’Leary once advised coaches to check African-American players “to make sure their gums are blue, because they are bigger, faster and stronger than (African-American players) with red gums.”
Michigan wouldn't touch that guy if he had a dozen national championship rings.

Some teams never learn the art of defending against the hail mary.
Awesome play and horrendous defense.

the ECU coaching staff made some seriously bad decisions in the last minute of the game.
The other was against Cincinnati. ECU was at home, down by 5, first and goal on the 9 with 1:10 left in the game. CIN had one timeout. ECU runs four pass plays, ALL incompletions. Luckily, they got a PI call in the end zone on 4th down. They then score quickly, and go up by two. Problem was, those 5 plays used a total of 15 seconds, and CIN never had to use their timeout.
CIN gets the ball back with 50 seconds left. A few Gunner Kiel passes later they are in field goal range, use their timeout, and kick the FG for the one point win.
Ruffin McNeill: Another "nice guy", but....do NOT want.

I don't know. He is 1-0 vs. Dantonio.

Heartbreaking. I'm an ECU alum. Was so happy for Shane Carden to go out with a win.... and then.... DOOM.
As others have said, clock management FAIL. I mean, for the love of God, at least try to put a field goal on the board so that UCF can only tie it (unless they go for 2). Utterly stupid.

I mean, of course I've seen that side of it, but this was the last game for guys like Carden. Brutal.
