On the American Whiskey front tonight. Enjoying the best bourbon for the price, Old Forrester 100 proof. Amazing bourbon for the price ($26 with tax in NC).

I wish I could offer a comparison, but I can't. I've only had yellow Spot, never green or red. My only comparison would be to Jameson's and I find yellow Spot smooth enough to pay the extra money for special occasions.

I mentioned above...you need to try Old Forrester 100 proof. It is amazing for the price. $26. I am a Bourbonaphile, and it stacks up against bourbons almost double its price in my book.

I wish I could agree. I tried it a couple of weeks ago and find that Evan Williams and Elijah Craig along with Trace are better at that price point. But, hell, yer talkin to a bourbonaphile here that’ll drink the shit outta a 21 dollar bottle of Four Roses! Very rarely do I head down the $50 plus bottles(I drink waaaay too much for that)

I'm not a huge bourbon guy, but I did some parts of the trail a few years ago and had a great time. The Buffalo Trace tour was particularly good (and free!)

A glass of whisky has more antioxidants than a glass of OJ.
I usually have two to three fingers with a cookie every night after I put the kids to bed. Best part of the day.
