I have been more upbeat that Colorado had no reason "not" to make a bowl game this year. A good QB, a few other things going your way with schemes, and suddenly you are a middle of the pack team.

But this guy Jason Jones really thought everyone lost their mind (basically he's saying everyone is ignoring the real details, muchas bias). Interesting article written before the game.

Sure TCU "could" have won big, but Jason Jones points out that TCU only beat Colorado last year by about the same amount of the spread this year. So the spread does seem a bit off and of course people have lost their minds (not just in football prognostications).

Fucking internet nerds are so mad about Coach Prime for some reason. You were wrong. He hired a stud OC and his son appears to be a monster. Take the L.

If only he acted more like Herm Edwards or Tony Dungy and less uppity I'd like him - mgobloggers

Yeah and it worked. Why the hell would you do it any other way? Did you see what that team was last year. The program needed to be rebuilt from the bottom up. Nobody in that locker room deserves to be a part of this, well almost, they kept like 8 guys. That program was a disaster, now it’s a legit Power 5 program with a great staff

Personally, I don't think you should tell kids who committed to come and play for your program that, after a year, "nah, you're not good enough, we changed our mind." In the pros, that's fine. I thought college was ... different, somehow.

I mean, I understand not playing them. Bring in players to play ahead of them, of course. But "fuck your scholarship, thanks but no thanks, hit the road?" I dunno. I guess I find it ... harsh.

Yes, it is harsh and it is unfair...but that is what CFB has become...very much like the pros. Sanders wasn't brought there to make incremental improvements..to slowly build the program. In this day and age I don't know if that is even possible. Whatever talent you have is leaving for another program if they don't feel like they are apart of something special and Prime has created that 'something special' vibe...at freaking Colorado.

The dude was able to sign the number ONE player in the country to a HBCU...that sent shock waves across the sport...he's different and he's smart enough to know that the ONLY way to even have a chance at winning at a place like Colorado is to listen to no one and be ruthlessly committed to getting the most out of THIS moment. He HAD to flip that atrocious roster right out of the gate...new coach gets to do that...wait a year and he's much more limited.

So don't hate the player...hate the game.

I don’t think Coach Sanders is a bad coach.

I think he is a douche the way he ran kids out of the program and told recruits he would honor their commitment and the ghosted them before national signing day. It was a few kids. It was a bunch.

I hope he gets treated the way he treats others

As Klatt (a former CU QB) has repeatedly pointed out, not only was CU 1-11, but they lost by an average of 29 points. The next-highest loss margin in FBS was Northwestern, also 1-11, with an average loss of 14 points. CU was by far the worst team in the P5, and may have been the worst team in the FBS. They needed to clean house.

LOL. No. Did you watch the game? TC U's defense is bad at football. This is not the same TCU as last year by any stretch of the imagination. Things are going to ugly for them in the Big 12.

Colorado was down to what...37 scholarship players after Deion cleaned house?

Against a fully loaded (scholarship-wise) TCU squad, and they actually beat them?

The Big 12 isn't known for defense so saying their defense isn't great isn't a surprise.

Ah but they were #17.

Colorado likely wasn't sniffing top-75(!!) in the preseason and just went into TCU's house and beat them.

Sorry, but 85 legit traditional scholarship players vs a team likely ranked near 100 that came in and beat them is pretty impressive (I know you said credit to Sanders, but it was credit with a 'but').

Doubtful. His advantage is that he successfully used his star power to his advantage. I don’t believe he has shown he is anything more than a figurehead yet. Real coaches with real coaching prowess have shown they are not up to the task, including many of the NCAA elite(except Harbaugh).

I just find this odd because I’ve always thought of Colorado as a “major” program. They were great in the ‘80s under McCartney, they were good throughout most of the 90s until Neuheisal ran them into the ground. They also had some good teams in the early 2000s under Barnett, and at least one or two good years in the 2010s.

What a motley crew of coaches though: McCartney, Neuheisal, Gary Barnett, and now Prime. Definitely interesting!

Colorado has some talented players but I still feel they are incomplete - they played a depleted TCU squad. The new QB1 there is terrible.

That being said, I'll admit my bias. I think Prime is still a fraud and hope he loses every game.

How is a coach that wins games a fraud? His son just threw for over 500 yards on the road against a team that was in the National Championship game last season. They may not be ready for UGA or Bama but I wouldn't be shocked if they were still competitive because he is a winner.

He defrauded children and teachers out of an education and money in Dallas.

He's a classic media heel and gets too much credit for beating up tomato cans like Conor McGregor.

Like I said, I'm biased because I just don't like him. I think he's a shitty person.
