I think it was scheduled in the summer of 2015 so it'd be Hackett that scheduled it.

I think John U Bacon said on the radio that Harbaugh wanted this game scheduled. Hope he feels mighty patriotic today because that's complete bullshit logic. Have a flyover and military appreciation against any other team.

Brandon was gone by the time this game was scheduled, in the Summer of 2015, it was Hackett who scheduled it.

I've always said...you play a home and home against a big time program.
You schedule a shit P5 or American Conference program like Kansas or Wake.
You schedule a directional Michigan.
You NEVER schedule a service academy.

There should be a rule where the Service Academies can only play against each other, Notre Dame and FCS schools. Schools like Michigan can't seem to stop themselves from scheduling these fucking games.

Do not schedule service academies. Do not schedule service academies and put on a "military appreciation day" that causes Michigan Stadium to take on every trapping of an Army home game. Do not let the MMB alter their game operations, nor tell fans not to do certain things because it might intimidate the opponent.
In other words, do not do this. Ever again.

The MMB asked fans on social media last night not to boo the Army fight song, and also did not play Temptation after 3rd downs, because the students.

Honestly the Temptation thing makes sense because they often go for it on 4th down, although I'm sure that's not the reason.

I don't want to assume because the MMB is sensitive about this stuff, it seems, but I'm almost certain it was because the BTN's hot mics were a little too close to the students last week. There was a fair amount of consternation about what the students were saying. And when a service academy shows up, with the AD showing every deference because showy patriotism, there you go.

Scheduling Army would be preferable to Air Force. As an intercollegiate athlete at Air Force, the altitude effect is real

Pretty sure the pregame hype clip indicates we bow to no program. Per Darth Vader. This game was an indicator of mental weakness on Michigans part in year 5 of Harbaugh. Schedule who ever and play like you have a pair every game. No need to be scared like some of you. Play like the fucking blue blood program you claim to be.

I second that. In addition Brandstatter, may be a good analyst, but he is the absolute worst play by play guy. If you want to keep him around make it a 3 man booth and have him be a second analyst.

They're never going to fix this. Athletics does not care about the radio broadcast, nor do they care that their Michigan Replay imitation has been terrible for a decade. We're stuck with Brandy mumbling through calls until he's too old to do it.

I said all offseason and leading up to his game that all i really cared about is getting a W and avoiding significant injuries. We did that. Wish it would have been a better played game, but I’ll take the W and move on.
