It was my first game at the big house and completed my transformation. I grew up a state fan and watching that game as a freshman on campus converted me 100%. Now I bleed Blue!

I was there sitting in the student section because students weren't there yet.  Too early in the year.  Michigan looked horrible most of the game and turned it on at the end.  I remember Tiki and Ronde Barber played for Virginia.

And wow...it was hot!

My dad and I were driving to Ann Arbor so I could start grad school.  We were somewhere around Utah I think.  We had a faint AM signal for a while which we lost when they were down 17.  We picked up another station at some point near the end of the 4th quarter and were in shocked at the comeback

I was there. 16 years old at the time. I was on visitor sideline so you couldn’t actually see the catch, but boy you could hear it. Great memory. Wasn’t Colorado like 2 weeks later?  I was there for that too. Eerily quiet for that one

That was a brutal game to watch for 3 quarters.   The heat.   The moribund offense that couldn't generate anything.   And then magic happened.    My hand got tangled in a ceiling fan after the Dreisbach-Hayes TD as I instinctively jumped with hands up high.   Luckily it was on low setting and no harm done.

After that game, I had visions of a junior year Heisman candidate Dreisbach, especially armed with Hayes and Toomer as weapons.

So so HOT!!!

Great memory in an otherwise terrible 3 quarters for Michigan football..  UVA was good back then, 1995 was smack in the middle of a 13 season stretch where UVA won at least 7 games every year in a mostly 11 game schedule, but 10 only once..

Looking back at results its interesting they went 7-4 twice and didn't go to any bowl game.

95 UV went 9-4 after ripping off 5 straight wins after the Michigan game.  They lost a 4th Q slug fest against North Carolina They lost another heartbreaker at Texas(10-2) 16-17, a close one to 10-2 Virginia Tech 29-36.  (down 1, driving in final minute gave up a pick 6 on final play)

Incidently Va Tech beat Texas in the Sugar Bowl that year.   UVa went on to beat a 6-6 Georgia in the Peach Bowl bowl.

This UVa team had one of my most memorable college football wins when they stopped FSU's Warrick Dunn about a football short of the goal line on the final play.  That handed FSU its first ever loss in the ACC.  FSU went 10-2, that win gave UVa a share of their second and most recent ACC Championship.

Despite the record of 9-4, that was probably Virginia's best football team in my lifetime.

That was the first game I ever attended at Michigan Stadium. I was also 13, and my best friend (whose dad was/is a huge Michigan fan) brought me. I went in not really caring about Michigan but happy to see a game in person. I remember so much about that game, from thinking the stadium wasn't that big until we were inside, and then realizing how huge it is, to knocking over someone's drink as we walked by and the guy being super friendly about it.

And of course, that final arcing throw that I saw disappear behind the crowd. I could tell as I watched that the ball had been thrown too far, that it couldn't be caught in bounds, and then suddenly the stadium erupted and I knew I was wrong. Since there were no video boards, it was dinner time before I actually got to see the catch, but I still loved that moment. It took a few more years (including several games joining my big sister in the student section and an admission into the school) before I became a true fan, but that game began my journey towards Michigan fandom, I absolutely loved it.

Took my 11 yr old nephew to that game. By late in the 4th quarter he wanted to leave. It was very hot that day and he was getting restless. We left early and went to a restaurant to get something to eat. We heard people talking. Michigan won. Damn!

Pretty sure I had a heat stroke after the game. There were emergency vehicles scooping people up all over the place.

I was 11 and remember watching this game on a tiny old black and white tv that I had to keep adjusting the bunny ears on! In the years that followed, I  thought back to it with a smile every time I saw NFL highlights of one of the Barber brothers . I got so excited at the final play that I jumped up, totally forgetting I was holding my 5 month old nephew, and dropped him on the floor (he was fine).
