Pitt is going to light up Sparty.

Narduzzi has 95 million reasons to make that happen.
December 6th, 2021 at 3:12 PM ^
Can't help but wonder if the way Dantonio ended his tenure at MSU will have a bearing with Narduzzi. If not, well, I'll create that strawman when I look at this game!
May MSU's knife chip and shatter!

I think MSU lost their minds when Merv beat us his first two years as HC thinking that would happen forever. Narduzerini wasn't doing all that great in a weak ACC either...until now.

I would love to see Dantonio's protege beat down Dantonio's now very wealthy successor.

I wonder how much D'antonyee made in his best year, definitely not $9.5 mil per year?

Sparty is perfectly designed to die a horrible death against the Superweapon

Not familiar with Pitts run defense, but Heisman hopeful QB sounds like horrible match up for MSU defense.
December 6th, 2021 at 4:11 PM ^
If I was Walker's dad I'd be having a serious conversation with him about blowing off what amounts to a meaningless bowl game and not take a chance of being injured prior to going to the NFL.
It's not like Sparty is in the playoffs.

in terms of EPA per play they're 2 spots ahead of us on rush D. 7 spots ahead of us on passing O.

Will Walker (MSU) and Pickett (Pitt) forego playing for NFL draft prep?
If Pickett plays I think I would have to watch.

Thanks for the correction not sure how I fat fingered that date :(

Wait, when did pornhub.com start streaming real football???

A friend of mine asked me how many MAC schools were in bowl games. He knew the answer but I guessed 4. The correct answer is 8! Only 4 MAC schools didn't make bowl games. Seems to me there might be too many bowl games ha ha. I remember a time where only 1-2 MAC schools made it and now everyone gets a bowl game. You get a bowl game and you get a bowl game!

Michigan teams finish bowl season.........4 - 2.

Did the math in my dreams last night: 4-2 checks out.

I still can't get used to the idea of Eastern playing in bowl games.
December 6th, 2021 at 3:16 PM ^
I always feel for the team that gets Detroit, especially when its an in-state school. Toledo and Western are both 7-5, one is packing for the Bahamas and the other for Detroit in late December.
December 6th, 2021 at 3:17 PM ^
That being said, I hope to God one day we get to see someone like Ole Miss head to Camp Randall in the CFP
December 6th, 2021 at 3:23 PM ^
Eh, look at it this way: Given how most teams do financially in fleabag bowls (*poorly*), in this case one team has affordable travel and one team will need to get airfare from ... somewhere.
Aside: I think the State of Michigan could get by with fewer universities and colleges.

I guess I care less about the teams budget in this sense and more about the kids having a blast leading up to the Mayo bowl or whatever the hell we're selling this year. It's one nice perk in the irrelevance that is (most of) bowl season.

EMU looking for their first bowl win under Creighton but...it's their 3rd bowl trip in 4 seasons. They've only played in 1 bowl game ever before he showed up. Really impressed by him.
Also, MSU is going to have a lot of trouble against Pitt. That passing game is as good as any they've seen this year plus their rush defense holds teams to under 3 ypc. Walker will break some runs in that game but I saw some MSU fans talking about how their pass defense will be better when everyone is healthy and...they've been bad all year. They had their starters (or at least most of them) against Purdue and OSU as well and got smoked.
December 6th, 2021 at 3:46 PM ^
Their last 3 bowl results have been (2016, 2018, 2019): L 20–24 , L 21–23, L 30–34. Hope they can get over the hump, they've been so close.
December 6th, 2021 at 3:30 PM ^
EMU has come a long way from the Ron English era.
December 6th, 2021 at 3:50 PM ^
Ferris State, they have been playing great, Go Bulldogs!
December 6th, 2021 at 3:53 PM ^
EMU vs Malik Willis is going to be ugly. Hopefully he doesn’t play. EMU’s defense is bad. Biggest reason they can’t get over 7 win barrier.

List seems to be missing a game on January 10!

Ideal match up would be MICHIGAN vs. THEEEE Cincinnati University.
Then again I would be just as happy to see Cincy (cough, cough, "Fraud"), get housed by Bama. That would shut up that 12-0 record by the little conferences.
