a very short list and definitely elite company

Don't forget National Champion for Charles in 1997.

GO BLUE in the NFL!

Dead on. The only thing left would be the hallowed and holy ground of Canton OH, a fitting end to the journey at some future point.
I was at the '98 Rose Bowl (only bowl game I've ever been to). We were really on our heels, down 7-0, about to go down 14-0, and the WSU fans were chanting "overrated." When Woodson turned the tide with that spectacular pick in the end zone, the entire Michigan section stood up and chanted right back, "HEEEEEIS-MAN! HEEEEEIS-MAN!"
One of the most beautiful moments of my life.
January 23rd, 2011 at 11:30 PM ^
Charles needs a ring. Charles deserves a ring.
January 24th, 2011 at 2:18 AM ^
But the better team deserves the ring.
If he comes ready to play, and Makes some plays, and wins, wouldn't that be sweet?
He'll deserve it if he makes plays.
I think he will.
(Edit: Have I mastered the art of column writing yet?)

Woodley gave me a beer. (One of the best stories of my life.) But gotta go with Woodson
January 23rd, 2011 at 11:36 PM ^
Tell the story, I would like to hear this one.
January 23rd, 2011 at 11:40 PM ^
yes,please tell.
January 23rd, 2011 at 11:43 PM ^
I'm interested too
January 23rd, 2011 at 11:44 PM ^
This past 4th of july. I was out on Higgins Lake with a couple buddies and my brother. My Brother and I always take a football to the lake for obvious reasons. Basically the story was LaMarr came up behind me and tried to take the ball, then tried to get me to trade the ball to him for a beer. I refused and he laughed and handed me the beer. When he handed me the beer and I saw the wolverine tatoo on his arm and I finally realized who he was. He was really cool tho. We talked to him about RR and Antonio Brown for a couple min.
January 24th, 2011 at 12:15 AM ^
Cool story, bro. Not in a sarcastic sense, though. That really is a very cool story and I'm glad I asked!
January 24th, 2011 at 12:21 AM ^
yes that would be an awesome experience !
what did he say about RR, was it about him being terminated?
January 24th, 2011 at 12:25 AM ^
It was before the season and he said that RR had one more year. I guess he was right
January 24th, 2011 at 10:28 AM ^
And some dude as big as Woodley tried to take my ball, I'd give it to him and thank him for allow him for not taking my life.
January 23rd, 2011 at 11:31 PM ^
January 23rd, 2011 at 11:32 PM ^
I'm not an avid fan of either team, but I'd have to go with Sir Charles on this one. Dude deserves a Super Bowl ring for being an elite corner.
January 23rd, 2011 at 11:36 PM ^
As much as I love Woodley and the Steelers I really want to see Woodson win this one. Both are in my top five favorite Wolverines ever I give the slight edge to Woodson because he doesn't have one.
Plus I have a buddy on Green Bay and would like to see him with a ring too.
January 23rd, 2011 at 11:36 PM ^
Woodson all the way!! Love Woodley, but despise his rapist teammate.
January 23rd, 2011 at 11:39 PM ^
Great name and avatar. I'd like to see Woodson take this one, GO PACK GO.
January 23rd, 2011 at 11:38 PM ^
Woodley gets a scoop and score, the game is tied 7-7 indefinitely and for the first time in history neither team wins. That would be my preferable outcome since I dislike both teams.
January 24th, 2011 at 1:59 AM ^
And if you're just joining us, happy Fourth of July from the Superbowl.
January 23rd, 2011 at 11:39 PM ^
GO PACKERS
January 23rd, 2011 at 11:40 PM ^
GO PACK GO!!!!!
January 23rd, 2011 at 11:42 PM ^
The only thing I like better than the Steelers is Michigan. So as much as I like Woodson I want the Steelers to win and if they come out like tonight in the first half - all business - the they will win.
January 24th, 2011 at 12:00 AM ^
Like rapists?
January 23rd, 2011 at 11:45 PM ^
I like Wood!! err....
January 23rd, 2011 at 11:51 PM ^
Wood's a nice thing to keep handy.
January 23rd, 2011 at 11:45 PM ^
Woodson, but I think Woodley gets it. The steelers will shut down aarons party. But Woodson gets a pick and Woodley gets the game clinching sack just like he did in his last super bowl game.
January 23rd, 2011 at 11:53 PM ^
There's a message about Michigan defense in here somewhere.
January 23rd, 2011 at 11:53 PM ^
I predict that Woodley and Woodson will realize that if they teamed up, they could both win the superbowl.
Final Score
Woodleyson-1 million
Steelers/Packers-0
January 23rd, 2011 at 11:55 PM ^
I'm rooting for co-MVPs. Just to add to the Woodson lore (and Woodley).
January 23rd, 2011 at 11:56 PM ^
As most others have said, Woodson. Woodley is a beast, and I love him, but I would be thrilled if Woodson could finally get his ring.
I'm really hoping he gets a pick and gives the shoulder shimmy-shake. Pleeeeeease let me see the shoulder shimmy-shake just one more time.
January 23rd, 2011 at 11:59 PM ^
Being a CMU alum, I find it hard to pick against Antonio Brown and the Steelers, but being that my love for Brown is second to the great Charles Woodson, I will be cheering for the Packers. Also, Green Bay has three former CMU players on their roster. Go Pack!
January 24th, 2011 at 12:00 AM ^
Would love to see Woodson have a big game.....
January 24th, 2011 at 12:06 AM ^
It's tough, but from everything ive heard so far the steelers won't resign woodley. Maybe superbowl MVP would change their minds.
January 24th, 2011 at 12:11 AM ^
Because all Heisman winning former Michigan players wearing number 21 for the Packers should win Super Bowls.
January 24th, 2011 at 12:07 AM ^
Don't get me wrong, I hate the Steelers. Howeva, as a Lions fan, I will never, ever, ever root for the Pack.
January 24th, 2011 at 9:26 AM ^
as Lions fans, who do we really hate? No one hates us. They mostly just feel sorry for us.
This could be changing as early as next however (if there is a season)...
January 24th, 2011 at 12:08 AM ^
If Brett Favre still played, it would be like the battle of the Quarterback pedophiles. After the game they'd have Chris Hansen present the award to the winning QB.
Fortunately, the Packers have Rodgers and I'm a huge Packers fan. So I got Woodson. Go Pack!
January 24th, 2011 at 12:09 AM ^
Well, I am a lifelong Steeler fan, but I cant think of a better reason to lose a Super Bowl than seeing Charles Woodson get his ring
Win/Win as I see it for the Hoke/Mattison 2011 Campaign
January 24th, 2011 at 12:17 AM ^
I want Charles by a long shot. Sorry Wood!
January 24th, 2011 at 12:18 AM ^
but i would love to see Woodson finally get his Ring to match his MICHIGAN national Championship ring along with his Heisman.
GO WOODSON GO!!
January 24th, 2011 at 12:21 AM ^
I live in Wisconsin and I hate the packers with a passion
C woodson to me is awesome and Woodley is too
But my hatred for the Packers runs so deep, So I am rooting for the Steelers
Go Lions
January 24th, 2011 at 12:31 AM ^
This question just isn't fair. If i had to choose, I'd go with Woodson. He deserves a ring at some point. Woodley still has a long career ahead of him and has already participated in super bowls.
January 24th, 2011 at 12:45 AM ^
January 24th, 2011 at 12:46 AM ^
Rooting for Woodson. Not so much the Packers, but unfortunately, they are the team I have to root for as an ancillary to Woodson finally winning a Super Bowl ring.
