does he get Frosty the Snowman jokes?
January 14th, 2011 at 4:50 PM ^
Can his signature move be referred to as the "Frostbite?"
January 14th, 2011 at 5:39 PM ^
hope so that'd be a great catch line..."And looks like Christ is having sight issues after being frostbitten"
January 14th, 2011 at 4:21 PM ^
But get on a plane!
January 14th, 2011 at 4:22 PM ^
Seriously, why would you turn away such a great football player. I don't care if you won the national championship.
Kris, Michigan wants you in the Big House.
Come back home.
January 14th, 2011 at 4:25 PM ^
What team wouldn't want someone who could play either WR or LB at his level?
January 14th, 2011 at 6:29 PM ^
Auburn wasn't expecting his commitment and already has 3 LBs and 2 WRs commited. Plus we wouldn't want them to oversign, would we?
January 14th, 2011 at 4:40 PM ^
Maybe the Barners are getting full of themselves and wouldn't waste their time on a 50th ranker prospect, nationally.
Who cares? They are the idiots for not taking the kid. From all accounts he was one of the better defensive players during the practices at the all star game.
Sick'em hoke!! Sick'em!!
January 14th, 2011 at 4:40 PM ^
Pfft. This is the SEC boyo. They chew up and cut players of Frost's high caliber like nothing.
January 14th, 2011 at 6:31 PM ^
Auburn purchase, they don't recruit.
January 14th, 2011 at 4:23 PM ^
Hopefully that is true and Hoke is able to get Frost to come to Michigan. He will be a stud and I would much rather he be a stud on our team than someone else's.
January 14th, 2011 at 4:25 PM ^
Also, let's name a DC already
January 14th, 2011 at 5:41 PM ^
why is this not talked about more. We won't get many recruits without a DC to tell them what kinda system and where they are going to fit in at.
January 14th, 2011 at 4:25 PM ^
in auburns credit, at least they're not pulling a nick saban. theyre being honest with frost saying that they dont have space for him, so that some poor guys down the road doesn't have to deal with a "medical" issue.
January 14th, 2011 at 4:29 PM ^
Frost wants to have a chance to play wide out. That is the reason he was a Michigan commit -- Rich Rod promised him a chance to play WR. My guess is that Auburn wanted him on defense, or not at all. IIRC we have already paid this kid a visit, so no plane tracking here. We'll have to convince him via phone, twitter, social media, mgoblog? FROST COME TO MICHIGAN!!!
January 14th, 2011 at 4:32 PM ^
i suspect that we'd give him a chance to play wideout too.
January 14th, 2011 at 4:35 PM ^
we'd let him kick too if he wants.
January 14th, 2011 at 5:15 PM ^
We should ask him too.
January 14th, 2011 at 4:45 PM ^
or response tweets.
January 14th, 2011 at 4:47 PM ^
Actually, at the Army All American Bowl he said that he was going to start out at WR at Auburn, then if not go to LB.
If I remember correctly, Michigan was primarily looking at him at LB, but would also look at him at WR. He likes WR more, but in my opinion he's a much better LB prospect.
January 14th, 2011 at 4:30 PM ^
Suprised that Auburn didn't have a spot for him. Auburn is probably on best behavior with the NCAA right now.
January 14th, 2011 at 4:42 PM ^
Take a look at their class - they already have 2 WRs and 3 LBs in that class.
Granted Frost is good and I'd think you make room for a special talent like that, but you do have to consider the positional balance (as well learned).
January 14th, 2011 at 4:33 PM ^
watching this on the boards over on espn about frost. It seems like the story to them is he wanted to go to auburn and they were going to take him, but he decided he wanted to go to his dream school (michigan) instead. At that point they offered someone else. once RR was fired he went back knocking before the army AA game and said he was going to commit and they told him not to bother because there was not a spot for him. Whether that's the true story or not idk just passing it on. There was also a thread on there stating frost and his parents spoke with auburn and agreed to take a grayshirt in hopes someone fell through on NSD and he would have a spot. I can't see someone his caliber doing that but take it for what it's worth

more Brady Hoke cowbell conversations.
January 14th, 2011 at 4:40 PM ^
No cowbell please. Still don't know why they didn't ban it for the bowl game. Shoudl have brought a vuvuzela to the bowl game. So annoying.
January 14th, 2011 at 4:49 PM ^
Some kids in my section had one at the gate and they wouldn't let him in with it. So, it probably wouldn't have mattered if you tried.
January 14th, 2011 at 4:54 PM ^
I was at the Gator Bowl and I can with out a doubt say that I will seriously Goldberg Spear the next person I see with a cowbell in public no matter the consequences!
January 14th, 2011 at 4:41 PM ^
he did an interview with a reporter before the game where he disclosed that he had called Auburn and told them he was coming. they were happy, etc. then he announces and auburn rivals mods go "ummm what?" and double check with sources/coaches. now, imo, there's absolutely zero reason he would have told a reporter that he called auburn coaches and told them his plans before he announced, under the obvious condition of not reporting it until after the game, if it was not the case.
somebody announced at the game that they weren't expecting, i believe, and they had allotted a scholarship between the two of them.
January 14th, 2011 at 4:44 PM ^
Maybe Brent Calloway, another OLB
January 14th, 2011 at 4:42 PM ^
This is great news. I really like our chances. If Brady can put 1/2 the passion he showed in his presser into a phone call....this is a done deal.
We'll bring these wayward parts of the flock back home.
January 14th, 2011 at 4:46 PM ^
listening to Auburn fans and media lately. This action, based on last week's sample size, does not surprise me.
January 14th, 2011 at 4:47 PM ^
Hopefully Frost will bring his "linebacker" skills to the U of M - we sure need them if we are going to see an improvement in our defense.
January 14th, 2011 at 4:51 PM ^
We should know soon if he is coming to Michigan or not since he wants to enroll early.
January 14th, 2011 at 4:56 PM ^
Little surprised that Frost even considered them, but hopefully now he'll see the light and come back to the fold. Unless he looking forward to not being able to go to a bowl game his junior and senior years because of NCAA violations.
January 14th, 2011 at 5:02 PM ^
Hoke,
Let the touching commence... But done touch too much or your fingers will freeze.
January 14th, 2011 at 6:12 PM ^
"Frost is apparently going to visit Auburn this weekend to meet with Gene Chizik and hopefully, for Tigers fans, things will be ironed out...But in the end I think the Tigers will find room for Frost, he will play outside linebacker and be a great one."

Not good for us, but Mike Farrel l does call Frost "an absolute stud". So, I guess that's good if we can reel him in.
January 14th, 2011 at 10:32 PM ^
Have heard they've offered him a grayshirt up to this point. Supposed to be checking out other schools including Miami.
