04/11/2014 - 3:41pm How about Eric McKnight from FGCU?

Just announced he would not return and is graduating. Would definitely fill the shot-blocking need discussed this week.
Might be a stretch to get him in academically, though.

12/01/2013 - 9:56am Much Appreciation and Understanding

I discovered this blog more than 5 years ago and it has become a standard part of my day. What Brian and the rest have developed and delivered is unique among any blogs, sports or otherwise, that I have encountered. Their efforts are very much admired and appreciated.

Brian's recent frustration is understandable. This season has altered the blog significantly. The overwhelming amount of commentors who choose to share their opinion on any and everything has cluttered the site and made it utterly depressing and nearly pointless to read.

In the past, there was an unspoken understanding that any posts and comments should add value to the discussion - either with information or well thought opinion. Now, it's just off-the-top, emotion-fueled drivel, and very angry, depressing drivel at that.

As you age, you begin to understand the long-view of situations in life, and learn to accept the immediate moments and not overreact. There are far too many posters who are interested in being heard and sharing their immediate emotion in every moment.

In the past MGoBlog - this immediacy only happened during the Live Blog, not in the forums. Now, all forums are mini-live blogs - repeditive, emotional, caught in the moment with no thought or perspective.

Change needs to happen. Only Brian can decide what it will be. Charge us. I will gladly pay. Reintroduce the point system. I will gladly participate. Whatever it takes to allow the valuable part of this blog to return to its higher position. I look forward.

Go Brian and Go Blue.

03/26/2013 - 2:53pm My Cool Story, Bro!

FGCU has been my adopted #2 for five years now. So much so, that my family and I travelled on the team charter to and from Philadelphia last weekend.

Their coach told me before the pairings were announced that he hoped to play Georgetwon in Philly, because it could become a home game for FGCU if they stayed close.

In seven days, this group of kids and their confident coach have captured the nation's attention. Now, I have to try to figure out how to raise a million dollars to keep him here. All suggestions welcome.

03/19/2013 - 3:58pm I'll be flying

with Florida Gulf Coast to Philly tomorrow for their game with Georgetown.  Excited to tell the A.D. and President that once we start the football program the B1G is ready to welcome them with open arms.

01/01/2013 - 7:24pm Love Denard but

AC was a three-time All American and generally considered one of (if not the) best college Wrs of the 80's.

The electricity he brought to the Big House equalled what Shoelace has given us these past four years.

Denard joins the list of my all-time favorites but he doesn't quite reach the rarefied air that AC did.

10/30/2012 - 12:51pm Correct you are

Dallas Crawford, Watkins teammate, was a near lock to head here and that opened up an opportunity for us to get Sammy, but it was never really more than a passing fancy.

09/23/2012 - 9:33am Well said, Outsider

I think we all have to take the larger view. Our lines performed much better than we assumed, which gives reason for confidence heading into the B1G. Denard will come back from this. We'll be fine.

09/11/2012 - 8:04pm I'm feeling a 3-1 win

not ready to shut down the WC hopes just yet.

09/11/2012 - 5:34pm As someone who was fortunate enough to know Cliff Keen

and understand what he did for the university, it saddens me to see his tribute go away. I hope the university finds another way to continue to honor a man who did so much for so long for Michigan.

09/09/2012 - 11:20am Thankfully missed watching the game

due to son's Pop Warner game.

Just saw the highlights.

We looked great. I'm going to pretend the other 150 plays looked the same.

09/09/2012 - 11:19am The first of 15 weeks

of agonizing over who to start on my pretend teams. Yay!

09/09/2012 - 11:18am Made my contribution

Shared the effort on my social feeds. Small contributions by many people can make big changes.

Proud of you, Tay!

05/11/2012 - 9:39pm Terlato Shiraz-Vigonier

In the Atlanta airport. Lube for a late night flight.

04/27/2012 - 5:33pm Just finished an agency briefing for Harley-Davidson

Good news - they loved it.
Bad news - it means a week in Milwaukee.
Worse news- figuring out how to break it to the wife. Fifth trip in 2 months for a non-traveling job.

04/27/2012 - 1:24pm How can you be both an Eagles

and Redskins fan? Is that you, Donovan?

04/17/2012 - 9:59pm This is just way too familiar

Control then give up the cheapies.

04/04/2012 - 10:19pm How ridiculous is Bertuzzi?

I'd say I was amazed but I've seen it to much. Plus perfect timing. Left time to finish UTL on BTN.

04/04/2012 - 8:14pm I'm amazed how my knee-jerk dislike for Bama

Lessens every time Roll Tide contributes to this blog. Please don't let a centered, well-rounded and reasonable Buckeye fan appear here. I can't bear the thought.

03/28/2012 - 7:26pm Obviously you haven't watched Bizarre Foods

And realized that Andrew Zimmer loves to dress up on Buckeye weekends.

03/14/2012 - 6:24am After last night, it's obvious

That no one in The Dayton area has been trained to perform the Heimlich Maneuver.

03/12/2012 - 9:53pm Hey, my adopted school

FGCU lost twice all year - beat Michigan State and a few other majors - and got a 12 seed.

Life ain't fair and neither is NCAA seeding.

03/10/2012 - 12:04pm forgot that the

/s

has to be included at all times

03/10/2012 - 10:07am Why does their have to be so much math in college hockey?

It makes me regret my English degree more and more.

03/10/2012 - 10:03am Actually Burke reminds me more of Isiah Thomas as a

college player except Isiah was surrounded by monster talent as a freshman and sophomore at IU, something Trey will get to experience next year. Very similar penetration and control of the floor.

03/10/2012 - 9:59am This sets the stage for at least two this weekend

possibly more. Couple that with two BTT wins over Ohio and Sparty and another W over ND would make for an excellent continuation on the "greatest weekend" trend, wouldn't it?

03/10/2012 - 9:56am I think this move turns the Rams

into a very good team for the next few years. Love RG3 but Snyder and the Skins are no place to start a career

03/10/2012 - 9:55am I'd be perfectly happy with two wins

and a 2 seed. Heck, I'd be happy if they left us a 3 as long as we get the two wins. #BeatOhio

03/02/2012 - 7:57pm Rogue Dead Guy Ale

At a youth flag football game on a 75 degree Florida winter night. Life's good.

02/25/2012 - 8:06pm Ballast Point IPAD

To match the internal bitterness I'm feeling right now.

02/23/2012 - 10:06pm Noooooo!

Never saw it.

02/23/2012 - 10:02pm Welcome back, Mr. Howard

Huge!

02/19/2012 - 9:17pm Unblueleivable!

Are we assembling the greatest line in the history of CFB or what?

02/06/2012 - 8:33pm Sequels are rarely as good as the original

Last year's ad came out of nowhere, without expectation, and quite simply sent shivers up the spines of most all those with a tie to Detroit or Michigan. As a brand-establishing commercial, it accomplished its goal- it got people talking about a car maker that they had forgotten by talking about a town they had given up on.

It's hard to measure up to something like that a year later, and this year's spot, although just as well produced, was only a shell of the first.

02/06/2012 - 8:20pm Another Aaron Shea?

Yes, please. We'll take a player like that all day.

Welcome to the family, young man.

01/11/2012 - 9:16pm Watching Clark in the Sugar Bowl

Left me with some serious hope that he will be a major contributor from this point forward

11/13/2011 - 3:06pm I don't think

We want to open this up again. Better to just move forward. The only people who have the facts are Herbstriet and his source. Someone, or perhaps many, didn't want Miles to be Michigan's coach. They used Herbstreit and ESPN to make sure of it. Let's move along. We've got the right man on the sidelines.

09/23/2011 - 12:59pm That ESPN Road Trip show

was flat out awesome!

What a great perspective of a game.

09/17/2011 - 4:13pm Smart choice by Charlie Weiss

Black is quite slimming on most humans, but it might just be asking too much on him.

09/12/2011 - 1:17pm I'm not ready to dig into

the fear of what might lie ahead, or the merits of Denard or our RB's flaws, at least not just yet.

I've watched Michigan football for a long time and during that time I've gathered a list of the highs and lows along the way.

Saturday night checkmated a low that I never thought would happen - the Colorado game. I'm going to focus on that for at least a couple more days, because the soul needs to be fed.

08/22/2011 - 8:55am Funny - for a second there I thought I was reading MGoBlog

how's about that type of vitriol go where it belongs - which is anywhere but this board.

It's simple - every kid who puts in the incredible effort and dedication that it takes to represent the University of Michigan football program deserves our respect. Period.

Good luck, Morgan.

08/16/2011 - 6:39pm Wow just wow

The word of the day down here in Florida is - meltdown!

08/13/2011 - 10:27am I'll take Oklahoma and ND

And call it good!

08/13/2011 - 10:03am I watched quite a few games last year

Found that the Spurs, Chelsea and Liverpool were teams that I found myself rooting for.
Found an immediate disdain for Man U but I think that has been influenced for quite some time.
Not that I hate rooting for the big boys - I really enjoy watching Barcelona play but feel guilty doing so.

I was just look for back story for the MGoCommuntiy since their perspective is often much more interesting and informative than the journalists, although I do appreciate the links above.

06/23/2011 - 11:02pm Good spot for him

Softens the blow of the second round.

06/22/2011 - 9:24pm Agree

Great to see Freddy getting another shot, but I really expected a more dominant performance by US this time around.

06/10/2011 - 12:32pm I've always blamed the shared title on the actions of 3 people

First, the linesman in the Rose Bowl who pulled out and then mysteriously held on to his flag on a blatant offensive push off during WSU's last possession that ended up giving Leaf & Co. the ball at midfield. If he throws the flag, WSU is pinned deep and the game end's without that sense of uneasiness that occured.

Second and third are Sean McDonough and Terry Donhue's who performed a three-hour slobberfest on Osborne.

05/30/2011 - 9:25pm Bit of a letdown actually

Really was hoping for more that would clearly spell out an institutional problem. This will be easy to push all on Tresel.

05/30/2011 - 9:25am Dear Media and NCAA

Stay on the gas. Do not let this man fall on the sword so the university can go about it's business. There is a decade or more of corruption that may go beyond the football program. Don't allow it to be swept under the rug.

05/02/2011 - 10:35pm This has the makings

Of a long summer in Tigertown.
