Thank God I'm 5 hours ahead of EST and it is more socially acceptable.
January 5th, 2011 at 4:55 PM ^
for social acceptability
January 5th, 2011 at 5:19 PM ^
Jameson is cutting it close. Definitely no Jim for a while..
January 5th, 2011 at 4:28 PM ^
Why? What has happened so far to cause depression?
January 5th, 2011 at 4:29 PM ^
Drinking for a reason is for pussies.
January 5th, 2011 at 4:33 PM ^
I agree wholeheartedly.
January 5th, 2011 at 8:46 PM ^
Your Braylon avatar saying that in a gravely voice before sticking that stogie in his mouth.
January 5th, 2011 at 8:19 PM ^
Seriously, save those jokes until pos-ing is back. You're missing out on points.
January 5th, 2011 at 4:28 PM ^
It is good.
January 5th, 2011 at 4:32 PM ^
Ehh not bad but I would rather be drinking some good craft beers right about now. Only 30 minutes left in the work day and then I can go home and enjoy some real beer (no offense to your Labatt Blue, of course).
January 5th, 2011 at 4:39 PM ^
I'm acutally a Busch Light (value drinker!) regular but someone with less of an eye on the wallet and more on the pallet left a 12 pack in my garage fridge. Their loss will be this guy's gain!
January 5th, 2011 at 4:41 PM ^
Nice, if it's free, drink it up!
January 5th, 2011 at 4:57 PM ^
If it's free, it's for me!
January 5th, 2011 at 5:01 PM ^
stolen beer.
January 5th, 2011 at 8:27 PM ^
In college, some of my buddies lived across from Blue Front on State St. We saw a Budweiser truck pull up and when the guy was unloading beer, one of my buddies grabbed a case of the truck. We stood in the front of the house drinking that beer and it was the best tasting beer I had ever had.
January 5th, 2011 at 8:48 PM ^
Always says this, as well as another one of my favorites:
"There's a porkchop in every bottle."
January 5th, 2011 at 5:57 PM ^
It's a basic moral principle of mine: never turn down a free beer.
January 5th, 2011 at 7:04 PM ^
Even Keystone Light?
January 5th, 2011 at 8:02 PM ^
Yep, I said it.
January 5th, 2011 at 11:44 PM ^
You must have a heck of a time out there in KZoo.
January 6th, 2011 at 1:40 AM ^
well that, but mostly I'm a poor college student so I'll take what I can get
January 6th, 2011 at 8:19 AM ^
Depends if I am drunk or not yet.
January 5th, 2011 at 4:43 PM ^
geez. I may have had too many already. although I do have a pallett in the garage as well. I break it up for kindling.
January 5th, 2011 at 4:47 PM ^
They make great fire wood, burn forever.
January 5th, 2011 at 5:07 PM ^
Let me guess. At some point over the holidays you hosted a get together? The best part of hosting is the leftovers in the beer fridge.
January 5th, 2011 at 8:36 PM ^
That is the case.
January 5th, 2011 at 10:50 PM ^
BL has been the official beer of my tailgate for 15 years. I could go for a good game of circle of death right now.
January 5th, 2011 at 4:59 PM ^
I give you an invisible +1 in my head?
January 5th, 2011 at 8:37 PM ^
and it is beautiful.
January 5th, 2011 at 4:29 PM ^
On at 8:30 pm vs Wisconsin. GO BLUE!!!!
January 5th, 2011 at 4:32 PM ^
And I plan to enjoy that with a few Scotch on the Rocks'.
January 5th, 2011 at 4:37 PM ^
Single Malt, preferably an Islay. Lagavulin is my choice.
January 5th, 2011 at 5:20 PM ^
Received an great book on whiskey for Christmas, breaks down soils, environment, and technique and their affect on taste and body. Great read
January 5th, 2011 at 6:03 PM ^
I've been working on my scotch knowledge for a handful of years now and wouldn't mind actually getting smart on it. Might help me branch out from my comfort zone of Speysides.
January 5th, 2011 at 7:36 PM ^
I would recommend two:
The world atlas of Whiskey , not as detailed but impressive coffee table. Heavy focus on scotch.
More detailed:
Whiskey: The definitive world guide.
January 5th, 2011 at 10:41 PM ^
Thank you very much. I will look in to procuring these.
January 5th, 2011 at 8:00 PM ^
Good choice , my choice Laphroig
January 5th, 2011 at 4:47 PM ^
Don't ruin a perfectly good scotch with ice.
January 5th, 2011 at 4:49 PM ^
then you have to at least add a bit of water, it opens up the scotch and lets it breath so the full flavor can be enjoyed.
January 5th, 2011 at 5:05 PM ^
January 5th, 2011 at 6:20 PM ^
But just a couple drops. Agreed
January 5th, 2011 at 4:30 PM ^
straight up.
January 5th, 2011 at 4:36 PM ^
for when Jim Harbaugh is introduced on Friday!
Or not...don't know what I'll drink if its Hoke or Miles.
January 5th, 2011 at 4:50 PM ^
terpentine?
January 5th, 2011 at 4:54 PM ^
Protocol would dictate that it be bleach.
January 5th, 2011 at 5:07 PM ^
January 5th, 2011 at 5:12 PM ^
Would it be okay if I drank napalm instead?
January 5th, 2011 at 5:40 PM ^
Save the rocks on the bleach, kills the flavor.
January 5th, 2011 at 4:37 PM ^
Ooof. I don't understand how people can drink that stuff and admit it openly.
For people that actually enjoy the taste of a good scotch, repping Red Label is like a wine fanatic being used to Opus One but openly admiting they enjoy the taste of Yellowtail or some garbage.
January 5th, 2011 at 4:40 PM ^
I hate to be snnoty like Beavis but you really got to go for the single malts. 18 year old Glendfiddich is a minimum for me. Just do not like the Red Label.
