A bit too cutesy for me.
Love Explosions in the Sky.
MF DOOM's new album-Born Like This
david cone
Well, of course, that's a given.
It would be awesome if David Cone always wore a mask like DOOM. I think it would help his rapping career.
The Coner's not the best-looking dude in the world.
And it would add to his mystique.
I swear to god the only group from those listed above I've even heard of is Fleetwood Mac. I'm 37.
Same here and I'm still a youngin lol. I like hard rock and my share of country. Rock: Metallica, Judas Priest, Led Zepplin, Motley Crue, Guns n Roses, Jimi Hendrix, Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Nickelback, Van Halen, Def Leppard, Ozzy Osbourne, AC/DC, and Ted Nugent. Coutry: Trace Adkins, Tim McGraw, Big n Rich, Jason Aldean, and Kenny Chesney.
I am definately in the minority when it comes to music for my age...but I don't mind! :D
Not into hip hop as much as people my age.
Well, if it makes you feel any better, Thelonious Monk was putting out records at least fifteen to twenty years before Fleetwood Mac even existed.
*shrug*
Pixies, Beta Band, Pavement, Spacemen 3, Neil Young.
Edit: Did anyone here get the live album Young released last year, Sugar Mountain: Live at the Canterbury House? Just found out the the performance was done on the Michigan campus.

lol, yeah, it's weird...I'm not even from Michigan or a Christian, but I love Sufjan Stevens
Arcade Fire is awesome, you should check out 'Neon Bible' off of the album of the same name, it's without a doubt my favorite song.
Marquis and the F**k Lions.
Best song is "I can drink 40 ounces of beer in 2 minutes and 37 seconds."
Tv on the Radio
MGMT
Say Anything
David Bowie
Animal Collective's new album is probably the best so far 1/4 into this year.
Other than that, been listening to a lot of Boys Noize, Walkmen, Cut Copy, and The Hold Steady. I always seem to be listening to Built to Spill and Pavement as well, but I'm sorta obsessed with that period in music.
I've been listening the hell out of 36 Chambers and the new TVoTR most recently.
Then there's Husker Du, the New Pornographers, Guided By Voices, Pavement and the Meat Puppets.
Favorite Husker Du record?
Flip Your Wig

Mine has been New Day Rising for a long, long time. Can't get enough of that record.

After that I'd be hard pressed to say, but probably New Day Rising.
36 Chambers, I was doing it with Flip Your Wig. just so fucking catchy!
on GBV, Pavement, and the Meat Puppets. Also listen to the Silver Jews, Palace Music, Iron and Wine, Andrew Bird, and lots and lots of Tom Waits.
The Trews. The Replacements. Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers. Glasvegas. Kings of Leon. Pendulum. (Old) Van Morrison.

Anyone listen to Fleet Foxes? I love their record. Lately, others include:
Steely Dan - Aja and Gaucho
Neko Case
Seth Walker
Vampire Weekend
Radiohead
Cat Power
The Hold Steady
oh and old Public Enemy
I'm going to have to second the Vampire Weekend. Also, the new All American Rejects CD is pretty solid.
I'm 47...young enough to enjoy a good Papa Roach's "Lifeline", old enough to consider the Ramones' "I Wanna Be Sedated" a solid classic.

I forgot about those guys. I always had a weakness for the paisley underground.
Long Beach Dub All Stars/Sublime
Primus
Stuck in the 90s I guess.
If you like sublime, try out slightly stoopid. Similar sound and still a very talented band that mixes hiphop, reggae, acoustic, etc... Just like sublime.
Also I dig the raconteurs, jack white and brendan benson.
The Black Keys
Dan Auerbach (lead singer/guitar for black keys)
Ray LaMontagne
Kings of Leon
The new Dan Auerbach cd is easily my favorite record released this year.
and i love my morning jacket as well, although i haven't listed to them as much recently.
all things Avett Bros. + The Gaslight Anthem
