I would also say Berry. If this is a draft and Berry's off the table, I'd pick Sean Taylor

December 18th, 2010 at 12:42 PM ^
Patrick Peterson's pretty nifty.
December 18th, 2010 at 12:43 PM ^
I know I'm breaking the rules of the question but I choose Woodson anyway.
December 18th, 2010 at 12:59 PM ^
His greatness transcends decades.
To answer the actual question, Eric Berry.
December 18th, 2010 at 12:44 PM ^
I'd have to say Dave Brandon
December 18th, 2010 at 2:18 PM ^
DB tends to break late on the ball, according to his own damn timeline
December 18th, 2010 at 12:45 PM ^
Ed Reed.
December 18th, 2010 at 12:50 PM ^
I would advise him to go to the draft early....oh wait
December 18th, 2010 at 2:38 PM ^
December 18th, 2010 at 12:50 PM ^
We need a Free Safety, someone who reads the game and has that ballhawking ability, no one does that better than Ed Reed.
December 18th, 2010 at 12:51 PM ^
LaRon Landry was an animal for LSU. I'd say either him or Sean Taylor.
December 18th, 2010 at 1:00 PM ^
I went to high school with Sean, so I'm biased, but he was the best DB I've ever seen, a true beast. RIP
December 18th, 2010 at 12:52 PM ^
I think its taylor mays, he had a less than stellar senior season but was lights out till then
December 18th, 2010 at 12:54 PM ^
Mays was never very good in coverage. I think he was more of an athlete than an actual quality player.
Either way, still an upgrade from what we've had.
December 18th, 2010 at 2:47 PM ^
man could he lay the lumber on someone
December 18th, 2010 at 12:55 PM ^
Reggie Nelson was pretty good.
December 18th, 2010 at 12:56 PM ^
because he's the closest thing to charles woodson
December 18th, 2010 at 12:56 PM ^
He put his heart in that shit man
December 18th, 2010 at 12:58 PM ^
December 18th, 2010 at 1:02 PM ^
Gosh dang it OMG Shirtless!
December 18th, 2010 at 1:10 PM ^
December 18th, 2010 at 1:07 PM ^
That is some passion! We def need someone like that to be a leader on our defense. Not trying to change the subject, but who was the closest thing to our vocal leader like that this year?
December 18th, 2010 at 5:08 PM ^
My vote would be Mike Martin and David Molk
December 18th, 2010 at 12:59 PM ^
I'll go a different way:
Troy Polamalu
and if I can't have him, Roy Williams (Oklahoma).
December 18th, 2010 at 2:10 PM ^
There is a saying around Pittsburgh:
75% of the earth is covered by water. The rest of covered by Troy Polamalu.
December 18th, 2010 at 2:55 PM ^
This one is better
December 18th, 2010 at 1:00 PM ^
Leon Hall... I remember him as a freshman beating Purdue WR Kyle Ingraham (the stork) at a jump ball in the endzone. The dude was 6'9" and little Leon beat him out...HOLY PANTS!
Leon Hall was the best Michigan DB we've had all decade. Easy.

December 18th, 2010 at 1:01 PM ^
this guy that told me Rich Rod had a stacked team in 2008 used him since he's now tearing it up at the Bengals.
December 18th, 2010 at 2:12 PM ^
what?
December 18th, 2010 at 2:15 PM ^
He's been halfway decent for Cinci (at best), not really anything amazing, yes he's fast, but he can't cover or tackle for shit
December 18th, 2010 at 3:14 PM ^
this is a great example of a post where you should either use /s or get neg-bombed to oblivion.
December 18th, 2010 at 3:43 PM ^
it really happened though, so I don't know if that is sarcasm or not....?
December 18th, 2010 at 4:13 PM ^
I think you may have Morgan Trent confused with Leon Hall, Hall is definitely "tearing it up" Trent has glaring weaknesses and is currently stuck behind Hall, Joseph, Jones, and Jones... and for good reason. If he works really hard he'll be a serviceable Corner, but he'll never hold a candle to #29
December 18th, 2010 at 1:06 PM ^
December 18th, 2010 at 1:19 PM ^
Joe Haden was a complete cover corner. Darrelle Revis diddn't really blossom till he made the NFL...
December 18th, 2010 at 1:30 PM ^
I know he was only lights out for 1 season, but I'd take Earl Thomas. Texas has had some great safeties in the Griffin, Huff, Jammer. Thomas was better than all of them and that's why he left to the pros after his r-soph season.
December 18th, 2010 at 3:13 PM ^
Not only are you apparently from georgia, but you play SC2? Epic. win. Do you 1v1 much? Haha would be great to have a practice partner who appreciate the finer things in life, e.g. Michigan Football.
December 18th, 2010 at 6:02 PM ^
I mainly 2v2, but would dig a practice partner to get my 1v1 game up or play some 2v2s with you. My account is PlusFour and my character code is 390; hit me up if your interested.

Ed Reed, 'nuff said. Every time I watch that speech, I get goosebumps.
December 18th, 2010 at 1:39 PM ^
What are you talking about?
December 18th, 2010 at 5:19 PM ^
lol did you just skip right down to this part of the thread without bothering to look at 2 videos and a shit ton of comments above? im not mad that's amazing... an entire wheel of cheese?
December 18th, 2010 at 1:55 PM ^
The one about 10 posts above mine
December 18th, 2010 at 2:23 PM ^
Bob Sanders.
December 18th, 2010 at 2:24 PM ^
If I had to go with one, I'd probably say Sean Taylor. However, a name I think deserves mentioning is Terrence Newman. He was lights out at KSU.
