OT-10 Russian Spies Arrested in US
Fearless Leader will not be pleased.
And people thought Russian spies were the stuff of movies and the Cold War...or movies about the Cold War. PSHHHH!
We win again, Russia...we win again.
Ha, I actually just saw that movie last week and intended to post somethign after I saw that the rebel's name was "Wolverines. Sadly the movie was not very good IMO, but just that name made me enjoy it a ton.
I hope it takes place their too.
Need to replace them with the Chinese.
Straight blasphemy.
No, the remake on the horizon is straight blasphemy.
What the hell BlueCE??!! 'Not very good..."? You should have to change IMO (in my opinion) to IMVSO (In my very shitty opinion) in future posts.
I'm not sure that catching ten spies after they've been here twenty years constitutes as a win or not. Unfortunately none of us will ever really know what information they even obtained.
I felt that was implied by my statement.
Oh but it wasn't. We won't know cause...I don't really have a point. I just thought his comment was really funny.
The article does not mention what their operations were. Its one thing to have a spy in the pentagon, but quite another to have a spy hanging out at the beach and the mall, as another poster put it.
I get the sense these spies were in the latter category, though we'll have to see how the story develops.
Was one of them Angelina Jolie?
Angelina Jolie rocks!
spy on phone with Russia:
"no, no, comrade, there's....uh....like....lots more secrets to find before we return to mother russia. like, we have to go to the beach.... to...uh...spy on the submarines and then we have to go to the mall....to...uh.. research sythetic fabric production....and you know what, i think the phone is bugged, so don't call me here anymore, we'll call you with the secrets. later."
they're pu$$ies......
Can't live with em...
Can't live without em.
I like Patton's quote best when he was invited to drink with a Russian.
Be it Muslim pirates or Russian spies, don't mess with Obama or you will get burned
When you say Obama and burn only one thing comes to mind. Money
Back in the day, the russians had the best spies on the planet. Man, they've lost their touch...
I've been enjoying a lot of the comments in the news coverage of this. Lots of "I knew there were commies in Cambridge!!" followed by someone having to remind the commentator that Russia hasn't been communist for 20 years.
How the hell does being a spy only carry a maximum sentence of 5 years???
They have to do their five years with Nasty Nate.
That being recorded with a cheap, handheld camcorder makes it better. It goes from obvious to farcical, like... you can totally see it happening.
they were charged with being unregistered agenst of a foreign gov't which is the slightly less serious spying charge. If it was all-out espionage they were charged with you'd likely never see this in the news until they were either convicted or sent back to mother Russia is a spy trade. Espionage charges are typically saved nowadays for all-out traitors like Ana Montes, Aldrich, Ames, or Hanssen where we have the bastards dead to rights. Those SOB's need to be hanged in a public square. On this story though, notice they were accused of being promoted by the Russian gov't to "Americanize" themselves and collect data on US intentions w.r.t senior level policy issues. This is a long con type of spycraft that if left alone will produce significant results in 5-10 years once familiar relationships are built up.
Make no mistake, espionage is alive and well by our "former" enemies and they're looking to get the goods. Problem with us is, the whole non-disclosure agreements you sign for a clearance aren't taken as seriously as they used to be...
does this mean i should stop drinking my tap water to protect my precious bodily fluids?
