I say good, a little pot stirring will get us closer to an 8 team playoff with a spot for the group of 5, and UCF has probably earned the right to complain that their undefeated very good football team never had a shot of even competing for a national championship.

It is amazing that the Knights finished an undefeated season this year and that is a very hard to do. There are several teams though that they could not beat. Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan State, Penn State, Wisconsin, Washington, Oklahoma, Clemson, to name a few. Much of what is being thrown into this is to push the Scott Frost hype machine. Good coach BUT is fixing to be humbled quite a bit. Nebraska is a HUGE mess and he will find it more difficult than he can imagine to return it to it's "Osborne state". Frost is a showboat with a big mouth and he hates Michigan. He will be humbled very quickly next year in Lincoln.

Not sure its any worse than OSU giving all its players BIG Championship rings the year they were on probation and did not win the BIG championship

the National Title is still mythical and the entrance into the playoffs is voted on by some bullshit committee where conference titles are meaningless, why NOT?  Just declare yourselves national champs.  None of it is NCAA sanctioned anyway.

Why not, the mythical national championship is a little more than just an opinion even now. This so called championship that I think should be referred to as the Alabama invitational only has three conferences represented, and one of the teams that are left didn't even win it's a conference. What you really have been played out is a championship between the ACC the SEC and the big 12. So why not claim to be national champions, UCF didn't lose a game, and they beat the team that beat the other two remaining teams. Any bashing of the UCF schedule is just opinion. Ohio State is at least champion of the Big 10 and Pac-10 as it proved by beating the Pac-10 champ in the Cotton Bowl. Until you expand the playoffs and actually give you every team a legitimate chance to get into it it's not a playoff or championship. If you really want to get a playoff quit watching the BS that they serve us up. Don't watch these useless bowl games, I don't watch the fraud of a championship that they present to us. We are part of the problem because we as the public have been buying into this bowl crap for 80 years. I basically quit watching after the end of the regular season and I won't be watching on Monday night. There are way too many other things to do.
