Re: Peters. You know man, it’s so hard to say what the right play there was, and it’s easy for us fans to be critical of the decision. Personally, I think there’s every reason in the world to start JOK after Purdue, but there are also a lot of reason to NOT put Peters in. It’s pouring down rain, your 5th year QB (who played well last game) is terrible, MSU is stacking the box, you’re down, is THAT the time for your RS Fr. QB to play? Can you imagine the uproar if BP is out there looking like a wounded duck in the rain? I don’t know. It’s just one of those no win situations. Sucks, but nothing good can come from continually second guessing it, at least IMO.

but how could Peters do worse? He could have been put in when it wasn't raining and it was clear JOK was struggling. The worst case scenerio is that he doesn't look good and gets heat from the fans which JOK already got. It's perplexing he didn't see any meaningful time in the Indiana game through the 2nd quarter of the Rutgers game.

You’re right, it is perplexing and he probably couldn’t have done a whole lot worse. If I had to explain the situation, I’d say that BP hadn’t met the performance criteria that the staff put forth as path to the field. As such, it wouldn’t be right (in coach’s mind) to let him skip steps (so to speak) and get on the field. Maybe it’s a continuity/discipline/meritocracy thing. We’ll never know, most likely, but I feel that Coach is pretty uncompromising that way.

What you would have said had they slammed into a stacked box over and over and over? The sad part about that game, like the OSU game, is that the passes were there all game, and just decent QB play wins both. The weather was tough, but even upon completing a pass the TE for a first down, it was fumbled. One can say they shouldn’t have been passing in that deluge, but it’s what was open.

Not going to waste my time with this game. Mork still has that horseshoe up his ass and MSU will win this game. Fuck Mork and fuck MSU. They can all burn.

Are friggin too much! They’re making Sparty out like they’re Alabama or something! WSU, is missing most of their offense and they’re missing their best defensive player in the first half!

there is no way WSU hangs in there with a back up QB and a severely undersized D line.  game is over.

guessing a 35-10 score.
